KHON KAEN, 16 March 2018 (NNT) – Khon Kaen province will host Mor Lam Carnival Music Festival in effort to promote tourism in the northeastern province.
Tourism Authority of Thailand's (TAT) Governor Yuthasak Supasorn said the agency aimed to position Khon Kaen as a key tourism destination by presenting its unique identity of traditional Mor Lam music.
The TAT will organize Mor Lam Carnival Music Festival during 31 March - 2 April 2018 at Kaeng Nakhon Lake to promote tourism and attract more visitors to the province.
The TAT expects to see five million visitors to Khon Kaen throughout this year and an increased income to its grassroots economy.
Provincial Governor of Khon Kaen Somsak Changtrakul said Khon Kaen is hub of the northeastern region in terms of trade and investment, and is connected by road, rail, and air, contributing to the province's capacity to welcome tourists all year round.
