BANGKOK, 21st February 2018 (NNT) - The Revenue Department has advised taxpayers to file their tax forms online to have refunds wired into their PromptPay accounts.

The Deputy Director-General of the Revenue Department, Patricia Mongkhonvanit, said people can submit their the personal income tax return forms for fiscal year 2017 between January 1st and March 31st, 2018.

People who file their tax forms via the Revenue Department's website, www.rd.go.th, or the department's mobile application will be entitled to extend the tax filing and payment period until April 9th this year.

The Revenue Department would give first priority to taxpayers who have PromptPay accounts connected with their identification cards. The department has set the target of tax refund via PromptPay accounts to increase from 60 percent to 80 percent. For more information, please call 1161.
