    Charity for orphans

    Charity for orphans-pnsoc610210001000301-jpg

ANG THONG, 10th February 2018 (NNT) - More than fifty orphans in Ang Thong Province, taking refuge in dilapidated school buildings in Chao Boon Kerd Temple still lack the basic necessities of life.

A sleeping house at Chao Boon Kerd Temple in Chaiyo District, Ang Thong Province in which almost 60 orphans from Mae Sot District, Tak Province take refuge at night is in a rundown state. The walls and ceiling punctured with holes can barely afford protection from the weather.

Reverend Wiwat Punnakorn (Chomyong), the Abbot of Chao Boon Kerd Temple, says that he has continued the orphanage charity begun by the former abbot. He travels to the market to buy vegetables, meat and condiments to prepare morning and evening meals for the children every day. On weekends, he has to take care of all three meals a day.

This means an average of 20 thousand baht per month not including additional expenses. If anyone would like to help, donations can be made through the account: Wat Chao Boon Kerd, no. 384-217721-8, Bangkok Bank, Ang Thong branch. For contact, please call 099-1959951 or 085-4219409.

    ^ Nice plug.

We've given, in the past, groceries (that they requested ... we phoned ahead) to the
Phaya Thai (orphanage) Babies Home which relocated ages ago to Nonthaburi.

Plus we bring to Thailand what ever clothes/toys the boys have grown out of to distribute to
    the extended family.

Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

That reminds me with the kids in university in America its time to go through all their old stuff and go to We Train again. We do try to help out those less fortunate as well. From about 6 years ago. Below is a very good cause.
