SRA KAEO, 2 February 2018 (NNT) - Sra Kaeo province plans to open a temporary border crossing point in favor of Thai and Cambodian villagers.

Sra Kaeo provincial governor Phornphot Phenphas chaired a working committee at Sra Kaeo City Hall to acknowledge preparations for the opening of the temporary border crossing point and strengthen cooperation in improving the quality of life for people on both sides of the border.

He visited his counterpart of Banteay Meanchey in Cambodia to discuss cooperation in bid to solve border issues and foster good relations between the two provinces on January 9, 2018, at the Banteay Meanchey City Hall.

They also discussed the opening of the temporarily permitted area at the 43rd boundary post in Non Mak Mun village, Khok Soong district, Sra Kaeo province and Prai Chan village, Ocharoe district, Banteay Meanchey province and approval of the use of a new Thai-Cambodian Border Pass under the agreement between the Thai and Cambodian governments.
