BANGKOK, 29 January 2018 (NNT) – The Rights and Liberties Protection Department (RLPD) is encouraging the general public affected by unjust treatments to consult the Justice Clinic in any province throughout the country.
RLPD Director-General Pitikan Sithidej said the Ministry of Justice has established the Justice Clinic in every province nationwide to receive complaints from the general public regarding allegedly unjust treatments, and free legal consultation provided by RLPD's officials.
Persons being treated with injustice and are currently being prosecuted by investigators can file a request to draw money from the Justice Funds for costs related to defending their case, which will help all people have the means to ensure equality in the justice system.
The RLPD chief added that the department is promoting the awareness on legal rights among the general public, allowing them to be aware of their rights and not violating others', while at the same time preventing them from being taken advantage of by those with malicious intents.
