Interpol approves 'State of Palestine' as member state

International police agency Interpol has voted to include the "State of Palestine" as a member, in a new boost to Palestinian efforts for international recognition.
Interpol announced the inclusion of the "State of Palestine" as well as the Solomon Islands on Twitter and its website Wednesday after a vote by its general assembly in Beijing.
With the new votes, Interpol will have 192 member countries. Interpol didn't immediately announce how many members supported Palestinian membership. UNESCO also approved Palestinian membership, prompting the U.S. and Israel to suspend funding out of protest.
Interpol, based in Lyon, France, is an international clearinghouse for arrest warrants and police cooperation against cross-border crime.

Surely it would make Benny happy that Muslim terrorists may not be able to hide out in Palestine? It is a two-way street.

Yeah, that sort of decent, reasonable, and long over-due action would make Benny froth. And the sycophant US doing what it always does.

Overall, a good result.

Interpol is a bit of a dark horse, to the world it show's a face of international co operation on transnational policing, catching child sex offenders, warrents for originised crime etc.

Dig at bit deeper and an ugly face emerges, you just have to look up who set it up, it has diplomatic immunity in most countries, agents are local, national cops, not hired, employed as Interpol agents.

So in Palestine, Interpol will set up, copies of drivers licences [photo's] general info crime reports, intel will all end up with Interpol.
