    65kts is at the minimal end of tropical revolving storms isn't it?
    The double maxima for storms in the Champa Sea area are typically May and July-Dec, isn't it? So this doesn't seem so unusual, I guess.

    To whom? I'm sure you understand how wind and water interact in storms... pressure gradients... storm surges... etc... and how wind affects aircraft and land vehicles more often than water.

    Weather Warning
    "Storm HATO "

    No. 10 Time Issued : August 24, 2017
    At 4.00 p.m. LST on 24 August, tropical storm “HATO” locates Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang, China or latitude 23.7° North, longitude 108.4° East.

    With maximum sustained wind about 40 knots or 75 km/hr, this storm is moving west with speed of 18 knots or 35 km/hr.

    It is forecast to downgrade as tropical depression, then.

    During 24-25 August, it will decline to low-pressure system over southern China (near northern border of Laos) and upper Vietnam, affecting upper Thailand with more rainfall.

    Travelers should stay tuned for the weather update.



    The advisory is in effect on 24 August 2017, at 5.00 a.m.

    The next issue will be at 24 August 2017 at 11.00 a.m.
