Sometimes, their ignorance and idiocy is truly frightening but to learn that a supposedly qualified medical practitioner has subscribed to this crap is indeed a fucking worry as to just how inept the profession is here.

To be fair, currently with swine flu breaking out in Myanmar and bird flu in Viet Nam, it's not silly to take precautions when a large group all come down with the same flu-like symptoms.

Far more likely some form of poisoning or something to have 130 students ALL come down with "flu-like" symptoms at the same time.

My immediate thought was the headline and article was some form of downplay/cover-up of something. Poisioning. Bad water. Bad food. Something that has bad optics more easily covered up by "the flu"
