Yes. Apparently rain drops in Thailand falling on your hair, even just a few drops, will bring you down with the flu. All the rain in a monsoon can fall on your shoulders with no effect, but just a few drops touch your hair and you're bound to fall ill.
Of course, once that rain falls into a water tank, it's ok to shower with, it's only when it's falling from the sky that it's dangerous.
^ 555 glad to see others wonder about it as I do... Last week I was soaked rainfall excepting the head as I was wearing an helmet, Thai acquaintances said it's OK as my head was dry, didn't want to confront their POV when I didn't feel well the next day.
Fook me eh,
Where i hang out soon as a little piss ant of a rain drop falls the office lovely jobbies
Smash out their umbrellas and ya gota be-careful or ya guna have an Eye Out.

Even more laughable when the males put 7-11 bags on their heads because gay hairdo.
^ sure today I saw some riders using plastic bag to protect their hair (guys and chicks), or in the sun they put their left hand up to shield their face from the sun.... In both circumstances an helmet (with a dark visor) would do the trick and as an aside protect their skulls ...
