Aside from the complete abject ridiculousness of your last sentence, you aren't even apply your same illogic to the crappy economies of the EU that you cited - I mean seriously, Spain?! Italy!? When was the last time you were in either place? Moreover, when was the last time you did any business in either place, if ever? Are you imagining their unemployment figures are somehow overstated? Do you even know any people from the continent? I do, and most of them want to get the fuck away and work in the UK - in fact many Spaniards I know, have come over - they earn much more and are involved in bigger higher profile projects. The trouble with your constant idiot diatribes is that genuinely and actually don't know anything; you also genuinely don't actually understand anything. The overture began with Carney a few days ago but the rest of the ensemble is now getting into its stride with Alan Duncan slipping another knife into Boris' flabby rib cage. May is reduced to a forlorn figure of almost Gilbertian absurdity as she heaps fresh failure upon her own shoulders in her macabre dance of the crippled death fairy . Her frazzled point man, Davis, was shot down in flames but she blithely strides on along her increasingly isolated path toward oblivion. Poor old kindly Merkel has tried to soften the blow but her EU brethren are not so benign and can scarcely contain their disdainful contempt for May's cheap, vacuous rhetoric. The second rateness of her and her team is becoming a national embarrassment and in truth some of the EU leaders are beginning to despair of reaching any meaningful engagement with a Britain that is clearly inept, clueless and without leadership.

I honestly cannot recall a time when British government has been so dreadfully afflicted but I do know that the civil service is reaching crisis point in trying to prop up the worst collection of government ministers that have ever been foisted on the country.

I've enjoyed reading posts from The Gent over the years on this board. But Gent, this is now getting Fluke like...I have only ever worked for German companies, done very well by all accounts, but this "the sky is going to fall on our head" attitude to Brexit is beyond me.
