I read somewhere that the Junta stated that the report wasn't accurate as it is based on old data... It didn't tell if the situation have got worst or improved since.

Safety issues on the roads is the first issue, bike riders and pedestrians tourists are at risk, drinking and a vacationner state of mind do make it worst, and if they survive financial consequences are serious (medical costs, fixing the rented bike, no insurance or nullified)
    Food poisoning maybe
A few case of hotel room poisoning, street beating, and beach raping and murdering didn't help for sure...

Not too sure about that one. I eat with reckless abondon with little to no precautions and never get sick in LOS. I've been sick from Taco Bell or Jack in the Box way more than any sickness from street food in Thailand.

Vietnam....different story. Sickness so bad I nearly died there

Agree, I've been ill on rare occasions, almost every time Farang restaurant food was suspected...hence the "maybe"

Seems like some people just seem to see the world as a glass half empty. We all have choices in how we choose to perceive every event in or lives. Well an author John Stapleton has written a book accusing Thailand as being a deadly place to visit full of Thais with hatred towards Farang (foreigners). I was passed on an interview of John by one of my members that was conducted and published online at MailOnline part of the dailymail.co.uk which I read and was aghast at the authors perception of the country I call my home, Thailand.
Here are some of my comments and thoughts regarding the claims made in this book and my feelings about Thailand. At the end of the video take a walk with me through the local market and see what you think about the attitude of the Thais towards a Farang! Check it out.

No, but everything he says is spot on. The only thing I didn't like was his choice of food at the market. Obvious to me that his wife does his cooking.

Yes, I like to stay at home and spam on TD.
I enjoy my manic chuckle to myself as I think the whole world is watching but only a few expats view the posts.

Keep going dude. Spam away. It's up to you.
