A Cambodian migrant worker was arrested one day after killing his Thai boss at Talad Thai market and escaped to the border.
The migrant worker identified only as “Tee” was apprehended yesterday at the Thai Cambodian border checkpoint in Klong Luek district of Srakaew province.
The arrest came after Klong Luek police were alerted of the attempt to cross the border at the checkpoint to Cambodia by the migrant worker after he stabbed to death his Thai woman boss, Mrs Pornpan Saenprasit, 42, or known widely as “Jae San” at Talad Thai marketing Klong Luang district of Pathumthani province on Saturday.
Video footages at the market showed the migrant worker fled to a resort home after the murder and lied to resort employees that he was being hunted and wanted to return to Cambodia to escape the hunt.
They then helped to drive him to a taxi queue and later to the bus terminal in front of Future Park Rangsit to board a bus to Cambodian border.
He was escorted back to Pathumthani province to reannect the murder at Talad Thai today.
