UDON THANI, 23 April 2017 (NNT) - Two rubber factories in Udon Thani assures that they would not lay off 1,500 workers, after being forced to temporarily halt operations, and will provide training for their workers during the closure period.
Udon Thani Provincial Social Security Office Head Nanthachai Panyasurarit disclosed that the Udon Thani Provincial Office of Industry had ordered the temporary closure of two rubber factories in Nongnakham subdistrict, Muang Udon Thani district.
The factories have been ordered to solve its odor problem.
The factories will have to find ways to make improvements by 15 May 2017 and undergo an inspection before operations can resume.
The Head of Udon Thani Provincial Social Security Office said that the operators of the two rubber factories had confirmed that they would not lay off over 1,500 workers, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, they be will training the workers during the closure to maximize the factory's operational efficiency in the Thailand 4.0 era.
