Phang Nga tackles waste water discharged into sea

BANGKOK, 19 March 2017 (NNT) - The Regional Environment Office 15 will construct a waste water treatment system in Takua Pa district after shops in Khao Lak discharged waste water into the Bang La On canal.

The waste water has affected living things at the mouth of the canal as well as the area's image in terms of tourism.

Director of the Regional Environment Office 15 Pornsri Sutthanarak said the waste water needed to be treated before it was discharged into the sea and suggested that the laws must be enforced. As for hotels, the authorities must check if their waste water disposal met standards, said the director.

The construction of the waste water treatment system was in the process of discussion and planning, Mrs. Pornsri said.

The notion that they should have built this into the infrastructure as they were developing tourism of course never entered their empty little heads.

Dumbest folk I have entered encountered - they literally piss and shit on their own doorstep - and, despite the propaganda, a very dirty people.

Hotels, condos, resturants and entertainment venues first. Then oops, not enough sewage, power or transport to support them. Surprise, surprise. Tear up roads, add sewage and power plants at 10 times the cost of doing it from day one.

Construction companies are happy to have this never ending cycle of income.
