The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plants Conservation has lodged a complaint eight individuals who posted in the social media, boasting about their illegal hunting feats and the wildlife they killed.
The department chief, Mr Tunya Netithammakul, said that the acts of the eight alleged hunters were illegal as they went against the wildlife protection law. The violators are liable to four years imprisonment and/or a fine of 40,000 baht if found guilty by the court.
He identified the eight alleged offenders who were known by their Facebook names as Pairat Boonmakham, Tik Koonjae Thai Key Service, Iew Sanphan, Chavalit Srithit, Traipark Sakulmahasingh, Nid Kiattisak, Art Rodkiew and Than Noi Than Noi.
