YALA, 16 January 2017 (NNT) – The Administrative Committee for Solutions to Problems in Southernmost Provinces visited the site of construction of Aiyoeweng Sea of Fog skywalk which could become an ASEAN tourist attraction.

Committee Secretary General Phanu Uthairat visited Aiyoeweng Sea of Fog in Betong district of Yala province to observe the area where the observation skywalk or glass terrace will be built to attract visitors.

He urged local units to improve the toilets, plumbing system, cleanliness of shops and restaurants as well as provide conveniences in road traffic and parking lots in order to upgrade the site as a renowned ASEAN tourism attraction.

The committee secretary general said Betong is one of the target areas in the government’s Triangle of Stability, Prosperity and Sustainability and that the Aiyoeweng Sea of Fog viewing site will help increase the number of domestic visitors and those from Malaysia.

The construction of the skywalk project which is costing 98 million baht will commence shortly as it is expected to become a key landmark which can generate more incomes to the local people. -
