BANGKOK, 26 November 2016 (NNT) - The Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) reported that the overall water situation is now better than last year though the agency was concerned about water for agricultural sector
PWA Governor Seri Supharathit said that the volume of rainwater throughout the country was about twice as much as last year except in the southern border provinces.
However, it is necessary to reassess the situation as it usually rains between December and January while there is still a sufficient amount of water at tourist attractions in Phuket and Pattaya, he said.
The PWA is still concerned about the water situation on Samui island but has initially solved the problem by expanding the raw water reserves.
