NAN, 1 September 2016 (NNT) – Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), Northern Region 2 has started removing unsightly power lines and communication cables in Nan province in preparation for an upcoming regatta.
The task began with a three-kilometer section from Changphuak Junction to Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna and will extend to other areas later on. The PEA will dispose of unwanted power lines and communication cables in an area stretching over two kilometers each month.
The PEA has planned to clear all streets in the capital district of dangerous obstructions before the annual regatta and tourism festival between September and November. The work is aimed at facilitating the upcoming event and improving safety for the general public and passing vehicles.
