what Hotel, they never tell us
you can also see the back of both legs, so if he's face up, then the fall twisted his body badly...Originally Posted by Pragmatic

Fluke, we're still working on what side is up...
You clearly do not know what a hand is. I doubt very much if you know your arse from your elbow.
There is no hand in that picture.
I am not confused. I have been on a diet and have had no chips, cakes, crisps, chocolates, pies, beer or whisky for three weeks. Until last night, that is, when I had three different types of whisky - Welsh, Scottish and TESCO's. Tickets have been booked for a break in Paris but I have discovered that the Nana does not have a branch near the Gare Du Nord and it looks like I will have to settle for Ibis or Best Western.
A photo thread will be provided in due course.
still have a lot of problems, page not found messages and slow, people referring to the the junta as a junta of referring to the coup will be suspended, saying you have a 15 year old gf is OK though!
I can see his hand, but i have my specs on.
The dude was face down, in the pic, with right palm up, which would be normal in a non-defensive fall face down, as indicated by torso and legs...ie. it's not his left hand palm facing the viewer, as though he fell on his back, but his right palm.
Look at the thumb.

A defensive fall is where the subject, falling forwards, extends his hands forward to ward off or minimize impact to (usually) his face and head.
The man's right hand, (palm uppermost) is clearly visible.
He didn't land on his right hand, no obvious sign of distortion or abrasion.
His legs aren't twisted around either, they seem normally splayed and intact, which they would not have been if he'd landed legs first.
It seems to me that he landed head first, smashed his head and/or broke his neck
surely after a certain height the body will bounce
it's not going to be in the exact position of impact
They don't bounce much after impact, just splatter.
Not true
parachutists are advised, when the 'shoot doesn't open,
to quickly grab the grass on impact-
because the fall doesn't kill you its the bounce;
when the broken ribs etc cause internal damage.

or at least check the crotch for bumps.
It all boils down to whether he reached 'Terminal Velocity' or not.
