I am not confused. I have been on a diet and have had no chips, cakes, crisps, chocolates, pies, beer or whisky for three weeks. Until last night, that is, when I had three different types of whisky - Welsh, Scottish and TESCO's. Tickets have been booked for a break in Paris but I have discovered that the Nana does not have a branch near the Gare Du Nord and it looks like I will have to settle for Ibis or Best Western.

What is a defensive fall, please ? Is is something like a parachutist would do ? Is it possible that it was a defensive fall and that the poor man had rolled from another building ? There is no hand visible and certainly no thumb. You all need spectacles.

A defensive fall is where the subject, falling forwards, extends his hands forward to ward off or minimize impact to (usually) his face and head.

The man's right hand, (palm uppermost) is clearly visible.

He didn't land on his right hand, no obvious sign of distortion or abrasion.

His legs aren't twisted around either, they seem normally splayed and intact, which they would not have been if he'd landed legs first.

It seems to me that he landed head first, smashed his head and/or broke his neck

surely after a certain height the body will bounce
it's not going to be in the exact position of impact

because the fall doesn't kill you its the bounce;
when the broken ribs etc cause internal damage.

As I said, they don't bounce much,.... once, a little bounce,a couple of inches or so up to maybe a foot at the most, then collapse, not flipping over, or changing position, after falling on his head from the seventh floor.

I'll bet he didn't bounce.

It all boils down to whether he reached 'Terminal Velocity' or not.
