I used to know a real brothel owner, not a Bangkok girlie bar, but a real one.... I never ever tried to cuddle up to her though..........Originally Posted by Nawtier

well the pimp and mother teresa certainly do make strange bedfellows sharing the same thread, but here you go.
The documentary, which drew heavily from the account of Aroup Chatterjee, an Indian-born British writer who had worked briefly in one of Teresa’s charitable homes, listed a catalog of criticisms against her. It found fault with the conditions in the facilities of her Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, which one journalist compared to the photographs she had seen of Nazi Germany’s Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, and Hitchens rallied against what he called the “cult of death and suffering.”
The documentary also argued that Teresa was an “ally of the status quo,” pointing to her relationships with dubious figures all around the world, most notably Haitian dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier and scandal-hit American financier Charles Keating. “She may or may not comfort the afflicted, but she has never been known to afflict the comfortable,” Hitchens explained.
“Hell’s Angel” sparked an international debate, and Hitchens soon followed it up with a pamphlet, unfortunately titled “The Missionary Position,” which repeated and expanded upon his criticisms. As Bruno Maddox put it in a review for the New York Times, Hitchens concluded that Mother Teresa was “less interested in helping the poor than in using them as an indefatigable source of wretchedness on which to fuel the expansion of her fundamentalist Roman Catholic beliefs.”
Hitchens’s critiques of Mother Teresa may come across as polemical, but it’s far from the only criticism. British medical journal the Lancet published a critical account of the care in Teresa’s facilities in 1994, and an academic Canadian study from a couple of years ago found fault with “her rather dubious way of caring for the sick, her questionable political contacts, her suspicious management of the enormous sums of money she received, and her overly dogmatic views regarding, in particular, abortion, contraception, and divorce.” Multiple accounts say that Teresa’s nuns would baptize the dying and that she had a reputation for proselytizing. Chatterjee also published his own extremely critical book on Teresa in 2003.

Well, tax...I assume you'll piss on everyone's cereal, then?...
Well done, lad...
Well at least nobody said he was an icon, a hero or a genius. He was just another victim of the fantasy nightlife of Thailand, a fools paradise that turns into a nightmare for some. Beaten by his own staff should have been a final warning for him to get out.
^ Earning a living in a land within which you are always only a temporary guest from sex tourists paying to take your employees away for sex and spending it on cocaine should have triggered that thought too.
Did you know Joan of Arc, Henrie?...
The only fuk up this guy made was getting into his own gear.
The most complete bar owners do not drink, the best drug dealers do not consume and the best pimps do not shag their biatches.
Keep all the Nasty stuff book work only and Jedds a millionair.
No reports on the funeral then, many seem to have known him so somebody must have gone.
I did see a few falangs dressed in black down Ekkamai way...I take it Wat That Thong was the place you were referring to...
There was also one extremely mean looking Thai thug leaving the place with his Thai hi-so partner dressed in black...
Just clicked that it might have been for him, if the funeral was today...
Good to hear he had a decent send off, he deserved that as I hope we all do.
Thailand is in essence no more than a kindergarten but with all the usual temptations to which one may succumb without fear of censure or other opprobrium. It is without any ethical compass, other than the hypocritical, and therefore many can lose their moral bearings, often irretrievably so.
Simple really why many of the lower end without any real thought to what may constitute moral behaviour become lost and act like animals. In truth, it is a crude, heathen society where civilisation for most indigent is what they cling to after a mere two swings out of the jungle. Given their base civilisation it is scarcely surprising that western visitors lose their inhibitions and act as if their former behaviour was quite redundant - for many it is. Most humans are really no more than beasts walking on hind legs and in this country that is quite normal.
Does that put it on the map for you?
Why you thinking about kindergartens ?
