Running a bar full of hookers as an "alien", taking cocaine, and thinking climbing across balconies on the 39th floor is better than paying a locksmith. His life expectancy was never going to be any more traditional than he was.

the key, LT, to being a successful pimp, which is what most bar managers and owners are, is to be a person devoid of moral compass, ethics, sense of self worth or pride.

Does every bar sell women? or maybe just the ones you go to.....

I'd imagine uneducated waitress staff in a perfectly normal bar would be quite taxing as well...

i think that the bars that are the subject of this thread are ones that sell women, or to be more specific, bars where customers pay the bar to take the women out.

..... and i think that those who make their living off the backs of women in that manner are pretty worthless and deserve all the aggro they get.

prostitution is one thing, pimping is something much darker.

That is exactly the point I am making.

I reckon a restaurant selling food and drink is probably harded to manage then a bar selling women and drink.

The Dollhouse in Soi Cowboy wasn't a bar. It was a brothel that also sold drink. They tend to split duties between those who take orders and serve drinks, and the whores. The drinks staff generally are paid more than staff in more conventional bars and of course the tips can increase as the night marches on and patrons get more pissed. The hours are long and during high season the pace can be quite hectic. Usually, such drink staff don't fuck the clients for dosh.

I wouldn't say the girls serving in these brothel bars are any less or more accomplished than some of the planks one usually encounters elsewhere in ordinary pubs here.

Though it is typical of this seedy and rather louche country that a farang pimp selling sex and addicted to cocaine/alcohol should be described as " colourful ".

Just walked back thru SC after going in the Robin Hood (Cornish cider 99 b a pint). Not been there for years and the Doll House is chained and locked and does smell of piss. SC in the day looks horrible, as are the women hanging about. Having to work there must depress anyone with an ounce of humanity. At our old condo in Bang Na a boiler room guy somehow got the job of managing the DH in Pattaya, he lasted about six months before going back to the boiler room scam.
