No Beach Butts: Phuket bans smoking, eating on sands
    Phuket Gazette - February 17, 2015 | 08:18 PM

PHUKET: Smoking and eating are now banned on Phuket beaches following a press conference today to clarify the new “no beach chair” rule .

Governor Nisit Jansomwong called the conference following tourists’ protests of police officers asking them to remove their beach chairs from the sands .

“Despite smoking and eating being banned, people will still be able to drink on the beach,” Gov Nisit told the Phuket Gazette.

The governor made the announcement with Navy Region 3 Deputy Commander Narudol Pancharien and Provincial Police Commander Patchara Boonyasit at his side.

“It is time to move forward. We can’t do it alone. We all must work together,” Gov Nisit said.

Mental illness takes many forms but the one true constant that manifests itself in all syndromes is the lack of any insight the sufferer has into their own malady.

They truly do not know just how insane they are.

So if you want an ice cream all you have to do is wait until it has melted enough to be slurped up a straw and then throw the cone away! Brilliant!

I am starting to believe that the latest governor here is on the payroll of the Philippine/Cambo/Viet/Name somewhere Tourism Board, it's the only explanation that makes any sense of what he is doing.

Nothing foks me of more than some cont sitting upwind of me on the beach and lighting up his stinking cancer stick so that is very progressive for Thailand. Even Aussie does not have this ban yet.

No Eating... mmm, cant see that flying really If you go for a day at the beach you are going to take some fruit or crisps at least.

Actually, what really fucks me off when I sit on a Thai beach is when some selfish chickenhead or gormless antipodean tourist sits next to me and eats their stinking somtam.

So, in that respect it's a good thing.

Proper cheese, ham and salad sandwiches with a dollop of mayonnaise should of course be exempted from any prohibition.

I did not know they had banned smoking at Bondi. QLD is a bit behind the curve I think.

Anyway I can go along with all those rules. Friggin annoying when folk start kicking a ball around when you are trying to read a book and stinking dogs and their turds can fok off too. Don't get me started on little kids and their out of control kites. They should be flogged and put in an orphanage.

The dog rule is well enforced in Sydney. In QLD the signs are up but the life guards don't bother.

The real advance, the one truly great measure that would enhance the environmemt and return the beachside experience to what it once was would be to ban anyone with tattoos.

I do get so dispirited when I see the human race demean itself by this absurdly inappropriate self mutilation, imprinted by the lumpen in the bizarre belief it somehow bestows a significance not otherwise available to them in their drearily mediocre little lives.

The fat, lardy-arsed, cellulite ridden, middle-aged white slappers sporting swallows and cavorting dolphins disappearing into their adipose folds make me feel quite nauseous.

Sorry...But if a smoker is "upwind" from you, you will not smell anything...If they are downwind, you will smell everything...the smoke will be blowing in your direction...

Hell, now you can't even smoke outside...

To be fair, it's understandable when the fckwit puts his dart out in the sand and leaves it there...Etcetera...

It's not a clean-air issue...Big BS there...But "smoking in front of kids" could be in the realm of reason...
