I can well understand that the Island locals would not get involved in this through fear of intimidation but I can't understand how the crime was committed and not reported by other Tourists.

For sure people heard screams and arguing that night.

Err, Terence we ain't in a Perth suburb on a Sunday night in November. The young folk in that resort there would have all been pretty pissed and otherwise intoxicated, knackered or just plain out of it. Throughout my sojourns here I have regularly heard screams, yells and God knows what at any hour of the night and simply rolled over. Occasionally, I have investigated but rarely seen anything.

    Maybe so,

But screams and yelling do travel a fuk of a long way on an Island.

Hard to say how much noise was coming out of that bar though.

I can guarantee one thing , the locals who know the truth will never utter a single word about the killers.

Exactly the same as when they killed my Ex Thai business partner on Tao.

She's a done deal I'm afraid, game over.

There was a farang witness, seems he fled in fear for his life.

Talk to any regular Thai person, they don't believe the burma did it.

The Gent put it quite well above, there's no fucking way on earth these slight burmese young men could have possibly committed such a brutal and vicious murder.
Sure there are like many witnesses who are in fear for their lives.

The burmese are scapegoats, it be as plain as the nose on your face. Scary stuff!

No person in Thailand has anything to fear as long as they keep their head down and mouth shut.

This is how the status Quo works in Thailand.

On the Islands it's standard practice to turn the other cheek, Not their business not their problem.

    Seen this many atime.

If I was that guy I'd be running for my life too, I reckon.

Like you said earlier, when in Thailand, best to keep your head down.

Considering we as farang can live here for a life time and still be considered an outsider I feel that the best avenue of approach is to live quietly amoungst the Thais and not get involved in any shit.

If one cannot do that and feels he must involve ones self in Thai business or their Politics I truly believe it's time to pack ones bag and fok off.

    Simply not our business.
