Politically, it was inept of him to so closely align himself to a cause which would have been recognised in any decent country as lost the day it began. But then, old habits die hard and in the past hoodwinking a credulous public was all that was needed.

The internet has put paid to that. Whether they like it or not, Thai people the world over are now demanding a higher standard and in the end what passes for authority in this country will eventually recognise, sometimes, truth and justice is easier.

Cronyism between Prayuth, Suthep, the island chiefs who ran Democrat campaigns, and the new police chief could be much stronger than anyone could ever see. I think they are still stoking the boilers for the end run. Is there any news out of the testimony today?
