Pathetic post. The UK, along with virtually any other country, is not going to comment on an ongoing criminal investigation in another country, in the same way that the UK (and virtually every other country) would not accept external government interference to their judicial process WHEN THERE IS AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION.

At this stage of the proceedings, I'm certain that all of the UK's diplomatic efforts and information services are being provided to the deceased families, updates of information, likely scenarios etc. Some posters on here seemingly feel more agrieved than the unfortunate families. If there was any complaint about the UK Government's action or lack of, I'm sure that family members would be voiced the same across the Daily Mail/Sun/Mirror etc. Why do you think that hasn't happened?ñ

Mark Kent is a career diplomat, not a journalist or foreign TV correspondent What he does publicly, and what he thinks privately are possibly (nay, undoubtably different). As I believe I said in a previous post, wait and see. The UK has it's own system for the verification of circumstances of death of it's nationals, and don't think for one minute that all possible evidence isn't being prepared for these inquests.

Can't quite resist it, but your user name seems to be quite appropriate. Stranger to reality.
Dear o' dear, somebody is well and truly rattled. I stand by every word I posted. Kent has already commented on this charade of an investigation and said the UK Embassy is satisfied. Now that's PATHETIC!

Either you're a friend of Kent's and or you also work at the embassy.
Neither. What do you seriously expect him to say at this stage? As individuals we can comment, speculate, or criticise all we want. As a representative of the UK, he doesn't have that luxury. I keep repeating myself, but seriously wait until there's something definitive and then make comments approaching wise and sage like. There is a world outside Facebook and Twitter.

As an aside, over the last few years there's been several high profile criminal cases on Phuket involving foreign nationals either as victims or those responsible. Never have I seen a comment from the involved Governments during the investigations. That always comes later.
