Indeed....I still have a laugh when I remember those 2 policemen in Chiang Mai who tried to force that Thai (or was it Burmese ?) guy to give a sperm sample.
News before a better offer came in. This is one story no one should forget.
One tourist murder suspect now arrested, another on the run - Thai PBS English News
^Indeed! The truth coming back to bite them in the bum.. just like the Scottish coward when he thought the end was nigh who posted "the owner of the AC bar did it"
story from link above posted below...
The police have arrested a suspect in the murder of two British tourists in Koh Tao and are still hunting for a second suspect who has escaped into Bangkok.
Eighth Region Police Command commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Panya Mamen identified the first suspect as Mon.
He is the brother of a village headman in Koh Tao.
He was arrested after evidence which police collected were examined and proved he was involved, he said.
He also said another suspect is also a son of that village headman. But he has already to Bangkok.
He said both suspects were captured by CCTV cameras and the police have gathered enough evidence to implicate them in the murders.
He said the southern police were coordinating with the metropolitan police to hunt him down, and expected to apprehend him today.
The southern police chief also assured the public that there was no arrest of scapegoats in this murder case as it now is a focal attention of the world.
He also dismissed any suggestion of local mafias or influential people that could twist the investigation with promise that local influence would pose no obstacle to the police investigation.
Instead the police will eliminate all these mafias, he said.
Meanwhile a police source said the police are also looking into the cooperation of those who helped to arrange the suspect to escape. They also will be arrested.
Wasn't he transferred the very next day?
Something i got in email.
We need more action!

9 May 2015 — Hello everyone and thank you for your continued support in fighting to ensure justice for David and Hannah. It is imperative now that at this time we focus our energy in ensuring that the trial taking place in Thailand is carried out fairly and transparently. Anyone that has any experience with the Thai justice system realizes that this is hardly ever the case.
The Royal Thai Police force has a horrendous track record of obstructing justice and planting false evidence to save anyone that is financially or politically connected and willing to bribe their way out of trouble. Anyone that has actually taken the time to look through the evidence under an objective lens would come to the conclusion that Win and Zaw were very likely to have been set up by both the local police and the islands notoriously brutal and well-connected mafia.
What seems like a positive development in allowing an outside party to review the DNA evidence submitted by the Thai Police seems to me at least to be in fact another trick being used to fool the public into thinking that their evidence is real in the first place. Anything submitted by the Thai police cannot be considered as legitimate unless the chain of custody of the DNA evidence can be reliably traced back to having been taken from the bodies of the victims. This seems to not be the case.
It was the hope of everyone involved that the UK government had taken their own samples of DNA evidence form the bodies, and that we could compare their samples against the Thai police’s samples.
This did not happen, and this is what we need the world to understand.
Also, while I very much understand the sensitivity in regards to approaching the parents of the victims for help, I would beg them to please at least come forward and clarify their previous statements that they made through the UK’s Foreign and Common Wealth Office. Their perhaps misunderstood statements seemed to hint at a clear support of the Thai's handling of the investigation and as a result their statements led to a tremendous loss of support for those of us that are seeking the truth and trying to ensure that the real killers are made to pay for their crimes.
In the eyes of many, the family's statement seemed to also suggest that the UK authorities have given them private information that reveals the UK is siding with the results of the Thai investigation. If this is true, we need to know why and more specifically we need to know exactly what was done by the UK observers. Many of us believe that the families are being fed misinformation and are essentially being used as political pawns by the FCO for geopolitical purposes and that the UK government seems to have no interest in determining whether or not the evidence handed over to them by the Thai government is legit. While I cannot possibly imagine the pain these families are going through during this process, if they find out later on that the boys Win and Zaw were truly innocent and were executed as a result of a political cover up and typical Thailand corruption, it will only add to their grief and suffering. It is also imperative that we consider not only the feelings of the families of the victims but the feelings and horror that the parents of Win and Zaw, if innocent, are going through as well.
In 2 months’ time, the first of the hearings that may lead to the deaths of the possible innocent accused will start. If this travesty of justice goes as it seems to be going by many, it will also ensure that the real monsters that have committed two of the most disgustingly egregious and utterly horrific crimes in the history of Southern Thailand will remain free to repeat further atrocities against people that they are supposed to be protecting as guests of their country.
It is my opinion that this case can only be won in the court of public opinion, This means we need to try our best to keep this story in the mainstream news and on social media. We should also be publicly shaming all officials that are involved in this farce of an investigation on both the UK and Thai sides. Because of the insane defamation laws in place in Thailand it may be best to remain anonymous, but the decision is yours.
In my opinion, the best thing we can possibly do right now is to spread awareness and bring this case back into the main stream media. There is also an incredibly limited amount of financial support being given to the defense team and the very few NGO’s that are helping with this case such as the Migrant Workers Rights Network.
As much as I completely loathe even mentioning money, let alone asking for people to donate money, the reality is that at this point fundraising is probably the greatest chance we have of success. Our power is in our masses.105k people came together to sign this pledge, and If you are even able to donate a single dollar to those most active in the defense to cover the costs of the defense team and their efforts to individually investigate and and show the world the ridiculousness of the prosecutions case please do so at the links below.
I have been directly told that the donations will go directly towards the specific costs of the absolute essentials such as witness protection, getting independent forensics/ DNA tests done, the welfare of the two accused in prison, and the flight costs and accommodation of a UK forensics expert that is coming to Thailand in two week to drastically help the defense.
.
Once again let me emphasize there is absolutely no pressure to donate if you are unable or unwilling, but I have been told the current funds are running dangerously low and it is quite sad that our side has such a ridiculously low amount of funds to fight against a corrupt establishment with virtually unlimited financial resources. Literally 1 dollar from everyone that signed our petition would completely change our odds of success and make the inhuman scum like the murderers of David and Hannah and the establishment that protects them think twice before repeating such horrendous crimes in the future.
Also a quick note, and probably unneeded, but I do not receive any donated money at all, and wouldn't ever need to. I am just like most of you that have lived in or have experience in Thailand and was finally fed up with the human rights abuses, scapegoating and corruption of the status quo and so just started up a petition on this website in the hopes of drawing more attention to this case. We have achieved that so far but we still have more work to do if we are to get to the truth.
So if you would like to donate please follow the link below or use one of the other methods listed. Also, if you have any other ideas or input in how we can proceed please email me at [email protected] I have a couple friends helping but other than that any of these ideas I have to think of myself so please help out if you can think of any thing that would help our cause.
Thanks again for continuing to support this case.

The father of Wai Phyo, a suspect in the murders of British tourist Hannah Witheridge and David Miller on Koh Tao last year, passed away on Thursday at his home in Myanmar.
A representative of the Migrant Worker Rights Network (MWRN) and the Lawyers Council of Thailand visited Wai Phyo on Friday inside Koh Samui prison to tell him his father, Tun Tun Htike, had died of a brain tumour.
The MWRN will arrange for Wai Phyo to make contact with his mother and they will ask prison authorities if he can undertake religious ceremonies to mark his father’s passing.
Andy Hall, an international affairs adviser to the MWRN, said the network will ask prison authorities to carefully monitor and support Wai Phyo’s grieving process in already difficult and overcrowded prison conditions. Mr Hall was involved in the work of the defence team for Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo, the two men accused the murders of Witheridge and Miller on Koh Tao beach in September last year.
“I met with Tun Tun Htike on two occasions in Myanmar and in Thailand and found him to be a dedicated father to Wai Phyo and his other elder son,” Mr Hall wrote on his Facebook page. “Tun Tun Htike was strongly committed to fighting with determination and commitment to ensure justice for his special youngest son, whom we firmly believed was wrongly arrested and prosecuted for the Koh Tao murders and who came to Thailand to earn a living to support his family."
Mr Hall said Tun Tun Htike personally requested that all funds raised by the MWRN in regard to the Koh Tao case be used to assist the defence of his son and Zaw Lin, and not to support the families of the accused.

Trial Starts in July.

27 May 2015 — Quick update. Trial will start in July and will last 18 days that will be spread out over 3 months. Without proper funding though, I can not see how it will be a fair trial.
If you didn't give your 1 pound or dollar or shilling or whatever your currency is yet please donate at the link below. Some people have been saying not to donate as they think I will have access to this money. It is completely untrue and I do not have any access nor would I ever accept any money for our work on this campaign. Unlike a certain LINE scapegoat sticker that I would never mention, 100 percent of your donations goes to the defense team and MWRN which are working directly together on this case. If we do not raise another 6k pounds in 40 days then indigogo will take a percentage of the funds, so it is crucial that we make that goal.
Please donate at this link.
