By July, Zaw and Win will have spent five percent of their life in Thai prisons for a crime they did not commit. Life can certainly be unfair. Meanwhile, the real murderers are still out there walking amongst the public and tourists.

On BBC just now the defense team stated they are happy with the new trail date, it allows them more time to prepare.
To bad for those Burmese lads banged up though.
Also the angst goes on for the Families of the deceased and the two Burmese lads.
Quite a change of events regarding the scheduled trial and prosecution of the two murders on Koh Tao supposedly by the two Burmese men (according to the Prosecution).
By pushing the trial (witness testimony) out another seven months I'm beginning to have additional doubts.
My worry is that it will fall off of the media charts and no one will be the wiser with limited coverage.
In comparison, if I correctly recall the railway employee that raped , suffocated and afterwards threw a 13-year-old girl's body from the train was apprehended, confessed , prosecuted and sentenced to death all within a ten-week period.
I thought that was exemplary quick justice...along with plenty of media coverage.
They must need a few more months to pony up some irrefutable "evidence"that the two lads did it.
Its in the UK papers today but not the Bangkok Post.
I think that by moving the court case back, maybe they are waiting to hear the results of OUR UK police inquiry and also what OUR coroner makes of it all !!
If our police conclude that it is totally shambolic, and that none of the Thai Police evidence is worth a toot ,,,,, then just maybe,,,, they may be well advised to back down,,,, because ALL THE WORLD IS WATCHING !!!
This may be their last chance to admit they were wrong,,,, and now go after the real perpetrators. I live in hope.

I would say that the original police chief going after local leaders and their son, publicly declaring there's evidence against them, then being replaced immediately as head of the investigation and that avenue closed down would be far more suspicious.
The investigation being reported as being conducted with 'confusion and inconsistencies' and their being 'questions about the strength of the case' against the B2 by the observing UK Met officers says a lot really.
You would think that with such strong evidence as genuine DNA on the victims that the case couldn't possibly have questions about the strength of the case, wouldn't you?
But perhaps you haven't been in Thailand all that long to understand how the country works. Or you're just trolling.

You might not remember the case a two years ago of the police entrance exam scandal. Over 100 police applicants from just one province were caught buying answers for the equivalent of 5 years salary.
