Nothing about this fiasco looks good, the whole corrupt circus is a huge embarrassment to Thailand

Additionally, when questioned about why the murder weapon – a bloodied hoe – was not tested for DNA evidence, he told the court he did not believe it was relevant
This is the part which makes me go WHAT? Did the cops go though all the big production of testing Dodo in public, but not give the results to the investigators to compare?Quote:

Not catch the people who did it.
It seems to me that evidence is lining up quite well to reveal that the headman's son did it, and also police incompetence (with implied corruption).
Everything going ok so far. NOW we will see either Thai corruption and incompetence at it's worst (actual judges finding Burmese guilty, despite huge holes in evidence), or.....no case for prosecution because of no real evidence. In which case the real murderer gets off, as planned from the first.
I'was certain that this will be the outcome.Quote:

^Mole in the defence bunker...
Don't know I get a feeling they are going to have some surprise witnesses turning up in Sept, such as Sean McAnna and co.
We have heard nothing in the tabloids from them, did the Brit cops tell them to say nothing, the Brit cops are still pissed over the Kirsty jones case.
The Brits will do nothing to publicly upset the Thai police case.
^They don't need to....
How is this rather damning evidence re dna sample match of sperm in the body going to be handled by the defence?
It's kind of cute how Westerners actually think that there's a trial going on.
There isn't.
The 3 member panel of judges are not going to find the B2 not guilty. The PM has already declared them guilty and praised the work of the police.
That they actually think the 3 judges are going to go against The General's public verdict over a few dead farangs and couple of penniless, peasant Burmese, is quite heartwarming.
Kinda cute, really, their naivety of Thais and Thai culture.
There is no trial, there is just a farce with a guilty verdict for the Burmese peasants at the end. Anything that happens until them, will not matter a jot.
Sorry to disappoint you.
Welcome to Thailand.

Sad, but unfortunately the most probable outcome.
Thailand is on Trial presently.
Perhaps they don't give a shit.
Though could very well change there minds once the findings of all the present investigations going on with world organisations completes and then they face the sanctions that will follow.
Just like the Australian drug dealers who were executed recently in ..............Quote:

There is no evidence to convict the Burmese.
All the cctv and witness reports leave a damning trail to the son of the headman Monsod and his gang of thugs.
In the early days, the prosecutors did not want to charge the two Burmese as they knew there was no case. They then got pressure from "the authorities" to do so. Recall that they had to take several runs at this until they had something that held up. It is a travesty that those two men have been held captive so long while the real killers walk free.

The question it seems hasn't been asked yet. Did the 2 Burmese give a sperm sample at the early stages while in the hands of the police ?
Consider that if they were told that the only way they could be cleared was to provide a sample for DNA testing to prove their innocence.
Would have been quite easy to coerce them into that for what would they have known of DNA testing.
You mean folks that mass murder civilians in Bkk, snipers on rooftops, 'special' troops firing automatic weapons from train tracks into Wats and red cross tents in Wats, targeting foreign journalists, throwing leading members of the policeforce out of high rise buildings, killings thousands and thousands of people over the last couple of decades alone; pilling 100 or so men up, 8 deep on a truck, to die then getting a promotion, the list goes on. You think they care about 2 Burmese or what the international press might say??? These scumbags earn millions and millions, live as, errm, what's the word???, and suffer no consequences as long as they keep the power through force, intimidation and murder...Quote:
