The case has been postponed at the request of the defence. This gives them time to respond to the prosecution evidence. You may have notice that the police case was already rejected several times by the courts, because it was incomplete or inconclusive.
Both sides have time to get their shit together, and the UK inquest will not proceed until the Thai courts are finished.

reasons they might be innocent /
1. the police are often corrupt and unprofessional and it might be a cover up
or they did not commit the actual murders , but were part of a bigger gang.
2, they did not flee back to burma- but perhaps they did not understand dna , could not remember their night, or thought the AC bar owners had it all covered ?

KOH TAO: -- At around 3pm in the 1st of January 2015 police and rescue teams were called to a bungalow on Koh Tao where the body of a 29 year old French murder suicide Koh Tao man was found hanging from the ceiling of his rented bungalow.
Suspicions arose over what appeared to be a suicide when on further inspection it was discovered the man’s hands were tied behind his back. Wounds were discovered around the man’s neck as well as two 5cm lacerations to his arm, one near his wrist the second near to his elbow. It is thought the man had been dead for around two hours.
The door to the man’s bungalow, later identified at Dmitri, was open and there was no sign of a struggle. Police and rescue workers found a note on the man’s bed that suggested a recent love affair may have come to an end and that the man recently lost one of his grandparents, however questions are being asked as to how it is possible for anybody to commit suicide with their hand tied behind their back.
An autopsy is expected to reveal whether or not that man was drugged.

If he had attained a level of seamanship then it is possible that he could tie a knot which could be tightened with dexterity and impossible to loosen.
Possibly a bow, half hitch, hornswoggler with a rabbit down the hole might do it but.....
