Pattaya - Two Nepalese men drugged and robbed

    Our News is Always New
    LATEST NEWS

    Saturday 17th March 2007
Two Nepalese men drugged and robbed in South Pattaya Hotel. Two suspects arrested.
These pictures come from the Baiyoke Hotel on the Pratamnuk Road in South Pattaya where Police and rescue workers were called to the location at 4am on Saturday after Hotel staff reported a suspected drugging and robbery of two Nepalese Tourists. Police Colonel Sutin, the Chief of Pattaya Police attended the incident which saw two Hotel Guests, Mr. Satya Kayastha aged 33 and his traveling companion sent to Hospital in unconscious states. It was suspected they had been drugged, a theory supported by the presence of sleeping tablets on the sideboard.
Suspicions were initially aroused when the two men were seen by the Reception Staff taking two Thai women back to their room. Less than one hour later the women left the Hotel and appeared to be acting in an unusual manner. They were detained by Hotel Security as they were about to leave in a Black Toyota Vios driven by a friend of the two female suspects, Khun Pisamai aged 30 and Khun Surirat aged 26. Khun Aeg aged 28, the driver of the car was also detained but was later released after Police determined he was unaware of what the two women were up to.
Inside the car, many fake ID cards and a further bag of sleeping tablets matching those found inside the Hotel room occupied by the Nepalese men were found. Items such as Gold necklaces, mobile phones, digital cameras and money were seized as evidence and the two women have been charged and incarcerated pending a court appearance and have also been connected with another case from the Moonlight Hotel in Naklua which took place on 21st October 2006. The two Nepalese victims are recovering in Hospital.

We read daily of offenders being apprehended for all sorts of crimes against tourists.

It would be (more) interesting to hear about the punishments that are (or are not) eventually dealt out to the culprits that are caught.

Oh yea, the guy is stting down in the parking lot and doesn't have a clue to what these thievs are up to. Sounds like Thai logic to me.

    Then add this bit:

Inside the car, many fake ID cards and a further bag of sleeping tablets matching those found inside the Hotel room occupied by the Nepalese men were found. Items such as Gold necklaces, mobile phones, digital cameras and money were seized as evidence

Oh yea, no way the driver had a clue to what was going on.

Without a doubt it was a team game. But...
Two guys pick up two girls and then the girls' friend drives them to their hotel. Who would not feel unsafe under these conditions? If you play with fire you get burned.

Where does it say that they were driven to the hotel by the women's friend?

It is more probable that they took a normal taxi to get to the hotel and the women summoned their driver by phone later.

I'm saddened that two Nepalese tourists were treated this way.

I would have been a lot happier if they had been from the middle east

Pattaya - Prostitutes Arrested for Drugging Tourists

    Prostitutes Arrested for Drugging Tourists

The Pattaya police arrested two beach prostitutes that had just drugged two tourists in Baiyok Hotel. This was a very fast arrest that the police once again made.

At 4.40 am on 17th March, after being informed by Baiyok Hotel’s staff that two of their guests were drugged and robbed, Pattaya Police Chief, Police Colonel Sutin Sappuang and his team went to inspect the scene. When they arrived they found Mr. Satya Mohan from Nepal and his friend unconscious in their room so they were quickly taken to Memorial Hospital.
The police investigated to find that the women who caused this were still around the hotel so searched for them. The two women were arrested together with the evidence of what they had just stolen; 2 gold necklaces, 2 digital cameras, a watch, over 6,000 Baht in cash, and a bag of medicine that contained 45 tablets of some kind of drug that the police do not know.
At the station both women confessed that they are beach prostitutes. At approximately 10.30 pm they went to Walking Street and met the two tourists and later went back to the hotel with them. Before leaving the hotel, they mixed 5 pills into the beer for each man, which knocked them out and took their belongings. Unfortunately for them they did not make it far and were arrested.
The women stated that they have drugged their customers many times before. Usually after getting the belongings, they would pawn it at the local pawnshops and divide the money. Most of the money then goes to the Thai pimps on the beach that helps protect them.
Pattaya Police Chief Sutin stated that this is one of the major problems in Pattaya that is ruining Thailand’s reputation. These women are just one of many that are still on the loose. Pattaya Police Chief Sutin asked us to announce to all; “I would like to ask for co-operation from all hotels, apartments, guesthouses, or any types of rooms for rent to please help the police by keeping an eye on prostitutes that come into the place with tourists. Please take photocopies of their ID card every time so that if anything happens, the police can issue an arrest warrant and at least have their pictures to do their search. Thank you.”

"Pattaya People" seems to employ the most moronic 'reporters' of the Patters tabloids, that's quite an achievement, not one to be proud of, though.

Must have been a fair few sleeping tablets to knock them out as well.

Are they re-enacting the drugged look there on the beds or are they really still out cold. That would be a right **** to wake up and find that your picture is all over the internet.

Thankfully neither of them have wood.
