Man kills lover, self

SAMUT PRAKAN - A man killed his girlfriend and himself after she refused to reconcile with him, police said on Monday.

Police received a report about a dead couple in an apartment room in Samrong Nua district.

The bodies of Patcharin Cheakham, 38, and her ex-boyfriend Tee Saelee, 44 were found in the room. Both were shot in the head.

Tee's arm was wrapped around the women body, police said.

Police found a suicide note written by the man.

“She told her sister to tell me to leave her alone, I can’t help it, and she has to go with me," the note says. "She,t that man and I must die together.”

From initial investigation, police said the couple had been together for eight years and their relationship ended because the man was too jealous..

Tee later rented a room at the apartment to spy on Patcharin and found out that she was seeing someone else, police said.

Police said Tee was likely trying to get back with his former girlfriend, but she declined so he shot and killed her. After that he hugged her and then shot himself.

The bodies were sent for autopsy, police said.
