yeah, they were just inconsequential Red Shirts, and not worthy of the lofty considerations of the elite.

When diverting to their resistance, instead of their killers, makes them very definitely "in question".

    "Why should you address them"....Indeed.

Join the club Cthulu. Calgary must have the longest ignore list in TD history.

Much like real life for him, he only sees messages here from 'red' posters (& SD)

    Why bother, then?

Not really, most of them were alive and well when the incident happened.

Ever thought the army got pissed off knowing these sorts of things were happening.

Maybe the temple was revenge....ever thought of that?

No...of course you don't, it's a one way flow as far as you are concerned.

I wish to fuck you'd put me on ignore, you don't deserve to hear reasonable balanced discussion.

Well, he's not back yet is he? but I don't believe it's all about him for many of them.

He'd like it to be and there are many of them who believe he is the answer, but anyone who is truly campaigmimg for the rights they have never had realise that they never had those rights during his long tenure either.
The UDD has always been an alliance of people who to varying degrees see thaksin and/or the UDD its self as a force for change. until last year, I would have said that the UDD was very much thaksin's creature and his to turn off and on. And I would agree with your assessment that thaksin, and I would additionally say the elite families that own and run the country, believe this to still be the case.

I would not say that now. now that PT is the government and has parliament, its having to make discussions, implement policies and compromise; we are already seeing instances where the interests of these two sides of the UDD diverge and this divergence is going to get worse as time goes on and thaksin starts to get what he wants.

As this divergence increases, should a substantial part of the UDD act in its own interests over and above those of thaksin, demonstrate that they are financially sustainable without hiso benefactors and can survive attempts by that benefactor to reestablish control.... then I believe we will start seeing the UDD as a force for change in thailand. The anti thaksin elite will be forced to see that they cannot simply negotiate sharing the country deal with thaksin, but they are going to have to consider giving up much more in wider reform to keep the UDD quiet and retain some of their wealth and position. The question is can this happen? It's going to be a significant challenge for the UDD and personally I am not sure they have it within them. And tom, this is what highly speculative looks like.

I would agree with you that I highly doubt that "they have it within them" - so far, the UDD leadership that remains is far from qualified for what you speculate they would need to do, and they have kicked out and alienated all those that *would* have been capable.

90 people are murdered is an "incident"

Those vengeful and vicious sentiments flow from the top, and are manifested on down the line.

And all of it born from Amart contempt, disdain and condescension for those "low lifes' who had the audacity to stand up to their coupist ways.

It is why they cannot stomach losing an election to them, and are now in a rear-guard action fightback mode, via their judiciary.

That arrogance and conceit permeates everything they utter, especially trying to create the impression this country is going-to-hell-in-a-handbasket and is in maximum political turmoil without them at the helm.

The incident was the beating of a soldier, a single beating most certainly is an incident. Maybe you cannot read properly.

and No! you cannot deny that if the Army know such incidents have happened that it is possible that there were acts of revenge carried out and the temple could conceivably have been one of those acts.

Doesn't make it right (I know that if anyone says anything in your small brain to take it that they are justifying the act), doesn't make it correct, but it is undeniably conceivable.

After all, you have no idea what those soldiers were actually thinking at the time they pulled those triggers do you?

Yeah, I have a pretty good idea.

It is what their coupist masters were thinking the moment they decided to obliterate these "low life's" for having the unmitigated gall to not accept their governance usurpation.

It is what they are thinking now, when unleashing their judiciary to rectify that most egregious affront, beating them in an election.

And having the 'unmitigated gall' to think they can proceed in areas that don't have approval of those unbeholden to such electoral nonsense.

Is that a little bit like that coup incident of 2006?

And we are supposed to shed crocodile tears over a coupist getting his come-uppance?

    'O, I forgot.

We are supposed to focus on the feeble resistance of anti-coupists, instead of the murderous massacre of 90 Red Shirts 'incident'.

Damn that Calgary.......Wish he would get with the program!

    Thank you for copying that.

    I'd have missed it otherwise.

Every time I'm compared to Amsterdam, I show all my Red Shirt friends.

Impresses the hell out of them.

    Thank you.

They used to do that all the time when I was posting elsewhere. Some of them even thought I was Amsterdam. I admit to 'showing off' when that happened.
