Decomposing Corpse of German Man Found in Pattaya

The decomposing naked body of a German man was found in a rental room in Pattaya. The police assumes he slipped on the floor hit his head and died of a concussion.

PATTAYA – May 24, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Thanakorn Ngarmyen, Pattaya police station, Chonburi province was notified of a dead body in room # 501 on the 5th floor of Bluewave apartment address 383/82 Soi Chaipul, Central Pattaya.

At the Bluewave apartment the police found the room was locked from the inside. The door was forced open. In the room they found the dead body Mr. Rainer Anton age 46, German national lying on the floor with two legs inside the bathroom and the upper body outside.

The corpse was decomposing. The police found drinking water bottles and clothes on the floor, the television and the fan was switched on, and there was also a bowl of rice in the refrigerator. There was no trace of violence. The police also discovered Mr. Rainer Anton’s asthma and blood pressure medicine from Banglamung hospital on the bed.

From asking Mr. Bancha, the security guard, who said that Mr. Anton Rainer had rented this room for several years and used to have a Thai wife but they had divorced. He lived alone, the guard usually saw him leaving the apartment to buy food. He was a thin man who looked ill because he was suffering from various diseases and was always tired from walking up and down to his room of the 5th floor.

The guard said that, he had not seen Mr. Rainer Anton for five days and when the guard went to pick up the garbage on the fifth floor he could hear the television so he thought that the Mr. Rainer Anton was still in the room.

But today when he walked up to collect the garbage a strong bad smell hit him coming from Mr. Rainer Anton’s room. He knocked on the door but no answer.The guard became suspicious and peeked inside the room from the glass window of and saw the dead body.

When the police inspected the corpse they found no trace of violence.The police assumes that he took off his clothes and went into the bathroom and when he walked out he slipped and fell down on the floor and died of a concussion.

The police said he had been dead 4-5 days.An autopsy will be performed on Mr. Rainer Antons’s body find the exact cause of death and the German embassy will be informed accordingly.

Sad that anyone could lie dead for that length of time . God only knows how easy it is to come a cropper with the tiled floors. Been there.. RIP.

I slipped on
a bar of soap in the shower in majorca once. fell out, grabbed the shower curtain, that came with me and gave the toilet a right wallop with my nut.

I don't believe for one minute this guy slipped and died. Unlike my fall, his hands would have come out to stop him IMO.

I almost fell down today going to work. Tiled floor. Little water on it. I slipped and caught myself.

Sad way to go. But it reinforces the fact that life is fragile.

N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) taken orally is usually given by doctors for liver failure and it is the antidote for acetaminophen (tylenol, paracetomol) overdose. You can find this amino acid derivative in the health food store or pharmacy and is useful for 'strengthening' the liver. It's the precursor to glutathione, a major free radical scavenger that is depleted in acetaminophen overdose--killing the liver necessitating a liver transplant if patient hasn't died already--as well as in other 'assaults' on the liver. Very useful to have in ones kit. Along with activated charcoal, it could be taken with just about any poisoning as long as there is no danger of vomiting and aspirating the stuff. The 50 dogs that died at Samui Dog Rescue from eating fungus tainted food could have been saved with activated charcoal and NAC.

The fact that a hospital had prescribed it indicates he had severe liver damage.

More likely as Astma medication: Acetylcystein is a prescription drug that is prescribed to aid things and loosen mucus due to certain lung disease (including cystic fibrosis, emphysema, pneumonia, bronchitis). Acetylcystein aids to clear the mucus from lungs in order you can easily breathe. It is also recommended for prevention of liver damage.

It is terrible that anyones medical history is launched out to all and sundry.
I have a liver trubble and recommend Milk Thistle, i caught something 20 yrs. ago in Indonesia and after many tests and told not to take alcohol, did do for many years and this Milk Thistle seems to do the job.

True NAC is used for asthma but I think that is in the form of inhalers.

I think the packaging above said 'oral', i.e., eat the NAC.
