Two Bangkok Hookers Arrested Gave Knock-Out-Drops To American Business Man

Two Bangkok hookers bought sleeping pills and drugged an American business man, stole his belongings worth 200,000 THB and were arrested.

BANGKOK – April 6, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Col. Pramote Janboonkaew Phooppharam police arrested Ms. “Phong” (alias) age 35 and Ms. “Song” (alias) age 33, the suspects in possession of Alprasolam sleeping pills, 16 tablets and liquid Alprasolam in 3 bottles.

End of March 2012, Mr. Robert Lawrence age 53, American citizen, business man arrived in Pattaya and contacted two prostitutes in Wong Wien Yai area, Bangkok.

Later he was offered an drink containing Alprasolam sleeping pills by mixed with alcohol. Ten minutes after drinking it he dizzy and fel asleep.

When he woke up he found that 18,000 THB and gold necklace, gold bracelet, a Rolex watch totally worth more than 200,000 THB was missing.

He he notified with the police and tehy soon arrested Ms. “Phong” at Prachathipok road, Thonburi and later Ms. “Song” was caught in a hotel, in Klongsarn area while she was mixing sleeping pills with alcoholic drinks.

Upon invesigation he two suspects confessed that they were prostitutes and that they had bought the sleeping pills from the drug store at Bangkhunon area.

They paid 40 THB per tablet. Then they mixed the sleeping pills with an alcoholic drink and gave it to their customers.

They didn’t know how many tablets they should put in the drink so they put 10 tablets every time because they were afraid that the customers would not sleep. Thereafter they stole all the clients belogings.

They confessed that they had done it at least ten times. The money they used for shopping and gambling.

Pol. Lt. Col. Pramote said that the sleeping pill is a benzodiazopine which has a rapid but not long lasting effect. This is a controlled, dangerous drug and can be sold by prescriptin by from a doctor, a dentist or a veterinarian only.

Sales of this drug without prescription is illegal and the police will coordinate with the officers of Ministry of Public Health to arrest the owner of the drugstrore. Any victims who have been cheated by the two susects can the Booppharam police station.

Most likely the other 9 victims did not report it because they did not want their name, age and nationality on the internet for anyone to see. Can't these local media people realize they share some responsibility for this? The victim's biographical information adds nothing to the story and assures future victims will remain silent.

Ten times the normal daily dose and mixed with alcohol which makes it act faster, affects the brain's heart and breathing control centers and because it acts as a sedative it can depress breathing and lower blood pressure. This was a lethal dose!!!!!

Sounds like this businessman has had a lucky escape.

The ones pictured are only 0.5mg . Might have been terminal had they been 1 mg tablets.

Xanax is not actually a sleeping pill. Its medical use is as an antidepressant . The drowsiness is a side effect. I've actually taken 3 mg myself to try to get some sleep after a long flight but if you're really hyped up ( as you are when you've just got here and havn't had a shag for several months ) its easy to stay awake.

Wong Wien Yai has a few old bats plying the ancient trade but I think the blokes who pick up there think there is some kind of kudos to be had by picking up fluff away from the usual tourist areas.

It's anti-anxiety.

Back in the day, I've done well over 100mg along with loads of alcohol; didn't die. Done 50mg and lots of alcohol and other 'stuff' on numerous occassions and didn't die - but that was my choice (stupid as a youngster I was...).

When you give any drugs, never mind a large dose mixed with alcohol, to somebody that you don't know (medical conditions?) then that's very serious indeed; deserves 10 years, imo. & they did it time after time; and folks wonder why these guys are found in their room, dead, and nobody knows why, might've been a suicide or a medical condition or a big night on the drink... I suggest that there are a consideral quantity of deaths due to these scumbags that go around drugging people with massive doses; I also suggest that the police/TAT/authorities are fully aware of this deadly trend...

I abused xanax in 2002 and it eventually gave me several seizures, which is another side effect.

Would never touch it again.

But I was shagging lots of hookers, and the evening went like this:

evening: Grass and booze in heavy quantities then a yaba tablet

after midnight: A viagra pill then shagging til 7am, also with continuous grass and booze

7am: Xanax to help me drop off to sleep, until 5pm.

7pm: Process repeated daily for about 4 months.

No wonder I had seizures, I was told I could have died.

At 40 baht. a pill they were strrong and Mr. Lawrence must have a very strong constitution and some luck. The ho's didn't want to kill anybody (I don't think anyway) they're just stupid from the looks of them.

It's a fact that you could take 100 of10mg Xanax and not die. .10 Xanax generic cost abut $0.10 ea. At 40 baht., they gave the dude something heavy. I've no idea what. Probably an opiate.
