Two Bangkok Hookers Arrested Gave Knock-Out-Drops To American Business Man


Two Bangkok hookers bought sleeping pills and drugged an American business man, stole his belongings worth 200,000 THB and were arrested.

BANGKOK – April 6, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Col. Pramote Janboonkaew Phooppharam police arrested Ms. “Phong” (alias) age 35 and Ms. “Song” (alias) age 33, the suspects in possession of Alprasolam sleeping pills, 16 tablets and liquid Alprasolam in 3 bottles.

End of March 2012, Mr. Robert Lawrence age 53, American citizen, business man arrived in Pattaya and contacted two prostitutes in Wong Wien Yai area, Bangkok.

Later he was offered an drink containing Alprasolam sleeping pills by mixed with alcohol. Ten minutes after drinking it he dizzy and fel asleep.

When he woke up he found that 18,000 THB and gold necklace, gold bracelet, a Rolex watch totally worth more than 200,000 THB was missing.



He he notified with the police and tehy soon arrested Ms. “Phong” at Prachathipok road, Thonburi and later Ms. “Song” was caught in a hotel, in Klongsarn area while she was mixing sleeping pills with alcoholic drinks.

Upon invesigation he two suspects confessed that they were prostitutes and that they had bought the sleeping pills from the drug store at Bangkhunon area.

They paid 40 THB per tablet. Then they mixed the sleeping pills with an alcoholic drink and gave it to their customers.

They didn’t know how many tablets they should put in the drink so they put 10 tablets every time because they were afraid that the customers would not sleep. Thereafter they stole all the clients belogings.

They confessed that they had done it at least ten times. The money they used for shopping and gambling.

Pol. Lt. Col. Pramote said that the sleeping pill is a benzodiazopine which has a rapid but not long lasting effect. This is a controlled, dangerous drug and can be sold by prescriptin by from a doctor, a dentist or a veterinarian only.

Sales of this drug without prescription is illegal and the police will coordinate with the officers of Ministry of Public Health to arrest the owner of the drugstrore. Any victims who have been cheated by the two susects can the Booppharam police station.
