    90 Day Reporting Question

My first 90 day reporting is due Feb 6th and didn't realize that date is a Sunday when I was at the Ayuthaya Immigration Office registering my Non O, 2-1/2 months ago. I'm sure their office is closed on Sunday so going in on Friday the 4th would be acceptable? I know every Immigration Office in Thailand has different rules but just wondering if anyone has had experience with this kind of question. Cheers!

Going within a week before will be ok.

When you go, ask them about postal notification - much easier.

Cheers fellas...did ask them if I could do the reporting by mail and the Immigration gal said "I want to see you". Heh...told her I was married but she never cracked a smile. They are not set up for mail-in reporting at Ayuthaya.

I'm months overdue, but I've never done it.

I usually go out of the country enough that it is always righted at the airport and the office in bangkok never see it.

I'm going out again next month, first time since March and boy oh boy am I looking forward to it.

I normally go to Immigration a couple of days before and that has always been Okay. However, once I came on a Monday, as the reporting day was during the week-end (Saturday, I think), the Immigration officer looked a little angry, then smiled and said, that I should have been reporting Friday.

I always thought it was + or - 7 day when 90 day reporting .If you go early they give you 90 days from the day you go,if you go late they give you 90 days from the date on the TM 47 slip.

7 days early is ok but two days after can mean a trip to the immigration detention center, depending on your nationality and the feelings of the immigration officer.

Take a back pack with enough water and food for a week.

I think that rule is the official one but some offices seem to have dropped the +7 bit so that they can get some fines.
