    Non-O Question

Sorry to introduce myself by begging for help, but have a nagging question. I am on a non-O marriage visa that has been extended based on my employment contract. My question is what will happen to my 1 year extension if I quit my job? Do I have to leave and re-enter on a new non-O, or is there a grace period during which I can acquire new employment and simply switch sponsors?
Any first hand experience particularly appreciated.
    Cheers in advance!

You entered on the Non-Imm O but the visa has not been extended, your permission to stay date you received when you entered as been extended based on employment.

If you quit the job you have to leave that day. You can get a 7 day extension for 1,900 baht. If the visa is still valid and has not passed it expiry date, you can leave and re-enter getting a new 90 day permission to stay which you can then get extended based on the requirements for a marriage extension (400k in bank or 45k month income). If the visa has expired, they will likely say you have to leave and get another.

They might let you apply for the marriage extension without leaving and re-entering, but I doubt it.
