The immigration officials at the land borders are a bit backward and will want to see your exit stamps in your other passport.

thanks guys. ive been immi office last week, the official not sure the operation. he said maybe you have to leave thailand, back with canadican pass. few minutes later, after he talked to another one, he seriously told me, that you cant have 2 pass while you in thailnd. it made me confused, does that mean i must directly fly thailand with canadian passport, otherwise, it wont work i mean by land border? but, but i did many times, fly to newyork change canadian pass back to toronto via us/canadian land border? will not work here in thailand? just curious nationality switch.

I hold 2 passports (dual nationality) I used them both the last time I did my 90 day run to Laos.

The immigration officer said that "you can't have 2 passports in Thailand"

I argued and he gave in.

I have since learnt that a friend might have legal documentation showing that it is OK to have 2 passports.

I've asked my mate to email me the documents and I'll post them here if he sends them.

He, my friend, has been through this argument a number of times as his wife has Thai and Swedish passports.

woo, cool. but seems officer not friendly to Asian, cuz i have china, japan and canada passport. last time, i went for student visa extension, the staff let me wait more than 3 hors, finally she told me many chiinese use Fake documents. the next day, i extened japan passport, cuz i worked for a japanese company.surprisely, the same one told me she cant give stamp, 'how come you use two passport!' and also she deleted my visa in my china passport. after i phoned my school, she then asked me to come another day with student letter. after that, i never use 2 pass while i in thailand

3 passports on the go at one time is asking for trouble you should get a fourth or fifth and enter thailand as first time visitor each time you arrive

The main issue is that Thais are ignorant and have no idea how things work outside of Thailand. Just stick to your guns at the border and if you have to show both passports, then it shouldn't be a problem as long as you know you're right and he's wrong. There's usually a boss there who's 'wise' and has seen it all before, so you'll be OK.

Or, alternatively the imm. officer will be too scared to question his boss and let it go anyway.

    That's what happened to me.

no, you can't whilst in Thailand

you must leave on the passport that you have a visa in

you can then enter Cambodia on the new passport (you may have to give the guy some cash so there are no arguments, but it is legal to do that)

you then leave Cambodia on the new passport and enter Thailand with it

this may not work with the day visa trip, so you may have to get a proper Cambodian (or Laos or ...) visa to enter and leave

have a little holiday in Laos
    I have reported your post

You can't travel on two. Whatever passport you start a journey on, you should finish on.

Example....Leave Indo on Indo passport and enter Singers on UK - no
Try and Enter Singers on one passport and enter on another...it won't happen.
I have 2 UK and one other passport - tried it once and it's a quick way to spend time answering lots of questions in a small office.

It may be something you can bribe yourself around but it ain't "legal" (whatever legal may be)

Having just got off the phone to my mate that knows, I must say you seem to have summed it up nicely Andy.

ever see ''Lord of War'' ? keep things simple or things are bound to turn sour, Country's like Oz wont tolerate Passport juggling, 2 are only Good for an Emergency or for a Quick escape, do you wish to be looked upon as suspicious...

Agreed. Most err.... "up to date" states don't care to much which passport you used to exit your previous country. They'll log you in on whatever you present. IMO.

And no you can't. You may have got away with it, but NO you can't. Firstly singers immigration will be looking for an exit stamp in the UK passport, and singapore like Indo doesn't allow dual passports.

I've tried it trying to save space in a passport - they won't have it.

Just because you may have got away with it doesn't mean you can do it. Singapore immigration have a particular bitch about Indonesians who have gained another nationality.

So, you can enter Oz on an Oz passport? (OK so far) and leave on a Brit one (for example)? Without showing the Oz one....? Really?

Having watched the anal Oz immigration service at work, I have a hard time believing that statement.

If you're a bit fucking thick, then maybe yes it does. However if you need to catch your next flight and not sit and answer silly fucking questions for three hours, then perhaps the answer is no.

Q Do I need a license to drive in Indonesia?
    A No

Until you run someone over and can't talk your way out of it.

Yep, you got it worked out.

You ever smuggle drugs? I mean, you may have got away with it once so it's OK after that.....
