    e-visa for Cambo

Off to Hat lek at the end of the month (first time there).

I also read that US dollars are not accepted and even when producing baht, the price increases to around 1,200 (or more) baht.

So I may go with the Cambodian e-visa. Has anybody acquired one of these? If so, what web-link did you use?

Moreover, do Thais' need a visa to enter Cambodia?

I shall post a photo montage of my trip when I get back.. Someone suggested I simply ask for directions to "the chicken farm"

    Chicken farms are an experience.

Just got an evisa through in a day. Only hassle was getting a passport jpeg sorted.

I have now successfully completed the e-visa (very simple process).

Chicken farm and canon 550d, here I come.

Although the Cambo visa states and costs $20, paying the "$20" fee on the border is next to impossible. whats 1,200 baht to $ exchange rate? $30?. I haven't been Thailand for 2 years.

Flying in a much better option, and getting a $5, yes, $5 motodup to the Capital city. Even the taxi fare from the airport to the centre of the city costs a bargain flat fee of $10.

US dollars is the primary currency used for all but small transactions. The Cambodian currency is Riel and is used only for small purchases.
As a newbie, you were wise to get an online visa. The price for a tourist visa is $20-US, period. I never paid more than $20, in 15 trips, but you must be firm, patient and stand up to them!! Most all tourists are scammed and pay inflated visa fees at all the Cambo Immigrations entry points. Most Cambo Immigration officials have nice cars and homes!
Yes, you have unrestricted travel on a Cambo E-Visa.

Thai's do not require a Visa for Cambodia, as the country has signed the ASEAN treaty.
