Thread: Retiring again in Thailand

Any help or suggestion of easiest way and which type of visa and place to obtain.
My story I was on retirement vise 10 years ago and then started work in Thailand so currently on Non B and work permit. Will finish work end next month.
1. Cancel work permit and current visa then have 7 days to depart country is that correct?
2. Cancel work permit and current visa and ask to change from current visa B to O inside Thailand can do?
3. I have 800k in bank account in Thai over 50 years of age so please tell me the way forward or what you would do include if I need to fly best place I assume Penang.
I know there is plenty of info on the forum and have read most it's just easier to get peoples views.

NonB - 3 month automatic extension upon leaving the country and returning before its expiry date.
Exit and return at a convenient border crossing the day before to be on the safe side, tire flat etc.
You then have a further 3 months to sort it out, or sort out a NonO retirement extension while in Malaysia or wherever. Good luck.
