Maybe they are right, and it is right about now, and should not rise. However, maybe they are wrong and the world needs to be 5 degrees warmer - shit, that might even stop earth quakes or something - who knows.

What we need is a load of one eyed biased faux scientists to plug a load of junk information into a computer model that will tell us what the temperature of the world should be. Then the science will be settled.

Surely Nasa knows the answer to this question?

"I have no doubt that global -- that a trend of global warming exists. I am not sure that it is fair to say that it is a problem we must wrestle with. To assume that it is a problem is to assume that the state of earth's climate today is the optimal climate, the best climate that we could have or ever have had and that we need to take steps to make sure that it doesn't change.

First of all, I don't think it's within the power of human beings to assure that the climate does not change, as millions of years of history have shown, and second of all, I guess I would ask which human beings - where and when - are to be accorded the privilege of deciding that this particular climate that we have right here today, right now is the best climate for all other human beings. I think that's a rather arrogant position for people to take."
So even a Nasa dude didn't know and thought it preposterous that we should even dare to assume anything like this. Of course, he was sacked for saying this and other defences of common sense.

"Unfortunately, this is an issue which has become far more political than technical, and it would have been well for me to have stayed out of it." "All I can really do is apologize to all you guys.... I feel badly that I caused this amount of controversy over something like this."[
I remember reading something like this explaining the stupidity of wildlife conservation. Used the example of the giant redwoods in California. The conservationists will do just about anything to try and make sure those redwoods stay around forever. How long have they been there? 5000 years? 10000 years? What was there before? The forest that the redwoods make up is a very inhospitable place for other living things. There isnt much to eat and therefore there isnt much else living there except redwoods.

Mabey the enviornment before the redwoods took over was better. A place where life flourished. Mabey we should cut all the stupid things down and see if nature puts something better in its place.

Conservation is impossible in a constantly changing enviornment just like stopping climate change is impossible in a constantly changing climate.

So what is the earths correct temperature? Great question that no one can answer. I will have to see if I can get the original blueprints from my buddy GOD lol.
