It seems rather disturbing that a Zionist would both write a book with 'Democracy' in the title and win the Medal of Freedom. Worse yet that Bush would actually use such a book for formulating policy.

George W. Bush has admitted that he doesn't read very much.

But one book he has read is the book by Sharansky.

Awarding a Medal of Freedom to an author is a bit dubious.

And under the current circumstances in the middle east, especially with a self-proclaimed Xtian, like W., he shouldn't have done it.

It's another step that show that a small group of pseudo Xtians, can polarize the entire world.

Very disturbing indeed for a jew incarcerated in siberia to demand freedom to express his religion. The unmitigated gall couldn't he see how such a thing would weaken the hand of the oppressor!

If I was a leftist I would be very very disturbed.

Maybe the rabbi who was fighting for democratic equality and the freedom of putting up a menorah at an airport should get a medal, too?

This is not what his book is about.

As for Menorahs (sorry, I'm off topic), Jews don't really celebrate Hanukka.

It's an AMERICAN politically correct concept of ramming it down Jewish people's throats so they could have a holiday and not be left out of American Xmas.

Passover and Yom Kippur are the big ones.

BullShit - Don't know what 'Jews' you're talking about but the traditional Orthodox most certainly do celibrate Hanukka.
Thing is, most folks are familiar with the Reform branch of Juddism in the states who generally don't do Hanukka up real big...

From the source directly. Orthodox jews are the most racist and anti-Christian you can think of. They don't advertise much but if you actually go in their circle, you could find out quickly what they want, their religion supremacy where Jesus and Christianity is demonized. They might not be entirely wrong though.
