    Goodbye Rumsfeld....

    Good riddance.

    One down, two to go.

"Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is stepping down, sources tell CNN. "

CBS: "Republican officials say Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld is stepping down. Details soon."

More to come on this developing story.

Thank God!! If true, this is a happy day. I suppose it took being slapped in the face with an astounding election loss for Bush to admit that mush/most of the voter disatisfaction lies at the feet of Rumsfeld.

Long overdue, but still a surprise.. No doubt this was GOP pressure. Bush is far too stubborn to fire Rummy.

Supposedly Bush says he was planning all along to replace him.

Yeah, right, like that would have happened if the GOP won.

The press conference right now is a total embarassment. The lies, the stuttering, the incomplete sentences, not even looking at the camera. It's enough to make snake oil and used car salesmen look like saints.

The terrorists do not approve, they want Rumsfield back. He is good for America and Iraq.

Did Donald Rumsfeld Give Questioner ‘The Bird’ at Kansas State?

Was it an innocent scratching of the nose, or a classic Goose moment right out of the movie “Top Gun?”

In a question and answer session at Kansas State University on Thursday, outgoing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was posed the following: “If you were going to give yourself a letter grade for your performance as Secretary of Defense, what grade would that be?”

As he answered, "Oh, I'd let history worry about that," Rumsfeld used his middle finger to scratch his nose. Coincidence, Freudian slip, or something much, much more? And, did CNN intentionally show this clip on “Lou Dobbs Tonight” to discredit the former Secretary? Regardless, I hate it when it does that.

For your analysis and viewing pleasure, the incident in question is at the tail-end of the following video.

just days before the election, bush said he had no intention of replacing rumsfeld.

the day after the election, bush claimed the replacement had been planned for weeks.

    shocking news......bush is a liar.

btw...note to cheney.....he said the same thing about you not being replaced.

Rumsfeld and the DOD were the major players for Phase IV.

It's pretty much agreed upon that Phase IV was and still is a failure.

    I think you're joking but it's a good question, that I don't know (if there is a phase V).

I'm assuming it's the corporate profits.

What about about Bolton? Sending a bullying wallrus to represent the US in an istitution he ideologically opposes is classic Bushism

They champion falsehood, support the butcher against the victim, the oppressor against the innocent child. May God mete them the punishment they deserve

It happened already. The middle class is gone since the Reagan years. He did a pretty good job destroying it with Bush Sr.

I think the final stage if you believe Strauss, the father of the NeoCon movement, it's total slavery through God salvation. We are getting there, thanks to Walmart jobs and the myth that God only lives for America.

The veto of this resolution is another shameless act in a long list of disgraces.

Bolton is a terrible human being. He is a PNAC founder and signer.

But the problem is not just him, it's the entire Jew Loving Israeli biased arm of the American government and media.

Coward they are, that let the Jews bully them.

Bolton will not have his UN post extended come Januaruy. Thanks to the elections and the necessary confirmation by Congress.

bolton should be sent to iraq and forced to go on patrol outside the green zone....in fact, it might be a good suggestion for some of the cyber war heroes that post here.....but i suppose it's easier just to hide behind their computers.

Ambassador John Bolton is a fine human being and the only thing that's of quality at the UN these days. May G_D keep him in his job to clean out that rats nest a little longer..
