"The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly...it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.": Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Propaganda Minister

"The process [of mass-media deception] has to be conscious, or it would not be carried out with sufficient precision, but it also has to be unconscious, or it would bring with it a feeling of falsity and hence of guilt.... To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies - all this is indispensably necessary.": George Orwell in the book 1984

"Like the effect of advertising upon the customer, the methods of political propaganda tend to increase the feeling of insignificance of the individual voter": Erich Fromm, psychoanalyst and social philosopher, 1900-1980
You know what 1B are AWESOME for?
    throwing at cats
it only costs a single baht
and they'll either chase it, or get hit by it and look pissed off
I now use that system to value prices of things
for example, a 3,000B slag has to be at least as awesome as three thousand catbahts

We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population" -- Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood

"I accepted an invitation to talk to the women's branch of the Ku Klux Klan...I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses...I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak...In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered." (Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366)

"Well, recently, a friend of mine reminded me that just prior to the 2006 election, consumer confidence was unbelievably high; regular gasoline sold for about $2.25-a-gallon; and the unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since then, consumer confidence has plummeted; gas now costs about a dollar-and-a-half-a-gallon more; unemployment stands at 5%; American homeowners have seen their home equity drop by over a trillion dollars, with one percent of our homes in foreclosure; and, for good measure, the liberals refuse to eliminate earmarks.

It wasn’t all bad news, though. The Democratic-controlled Congress, no doubt in appreciation for what they regarded as a job very well done, voted to increase their own salaries." -- Burt Prelutsky

Do I think Barack Obama, in his heart of hearts, believes all this nonsense and views white people as "the enemy?" I do. Why else would he spend so long in a church full of people who believe these things and why has he become so closely associated with a reverend who feels this way? It would be like a white politician going to KKK meetings for 20 years and then pointing out all the "good work" the Klan does when he's called on it, refusing to disavow the Kleagle, and saying that the people pointing out his time in the Klan were trying to "distract" people from the real issues of the campaign. Even Robert Byrd had to leave the Klan and pretend to regret his participation to stay in the Senate, which is more than Obama has done so far. -- John Hawkins

I think you'll find the same thing happens with every new government when they enter office, all around the world.

Democrats say drilling in ANWR wouldn’t produce any oil for 10 years — the same point they’ve been making for more than 10 years now. President Bill Clinton vetoed legislation in 1995 that would have opened ANWR to oil exploration." It would be nice to have some extra oil coming on line about now. -- Jay Leno

"Last night, a couple of my staff members were presenting at an anti-tax event in rural North Carolina (believe it or not, there are many important elections going on in our state right now than just the Obama-Clinton slugfest, including a host of local tax referenda). During open discussion later in the event, a young soldier stood up and told the audience that he had just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. He was proud of his service, and of his unit's accomplishments."

"Then," he said, "I came home and found out we were losing the war

Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

    Hermann Goering
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect,"
