i can across this and figured since the board was lacking religious threads at the moment......

a jaw-dropping documentary about evangelical christians and their children.

i can almost guarantee you'll be shaking your head in shock and disbelief after you watch...but it's all real.

Looked like a lot of folks were having fun in the movie. I wouldn't take their staging a coup or anything like that seriously. Looked like a bunch of happy folks - albeit a little fanatical. Wouldn't read too much into the uniforms, although I did think it was a little over-the-top.

I guess it's them (God's army) versus satan's army... if they keep to the sticks & trust in God, I guess they'll cause no harm. Each to his/her own...

here's another clip from the movie.....the first part is of a sweet kid who's clearly been coached on what to say....but you still the get the feeling she means it. the second part is laughable, and the third is this huge cow of a christian scaring the shit out of little kids...fire and brimstone stuff.

I didn't watch this link posted here but I think I've seen the segment - about a overweight lady running a camp for children teaching them to be warrirors for Christ. Right?

This is an example of something that is not Christianity. It an example of some people calling themselves Christians, taking some asects of Christianity and mixing it with their beliefs.

And you guys lap it up as if this kind of garbage is a good excuse to reject Christianity.

That's like taking a paedophile English teacher engaged in molesting students as an example of the only kind of teacher existing in the teaching profession worldwide and deciding, upon that basis, to reject teaching as a profession.

They believe that they are Christians, as does Mr Bush. Who are you to say that they are not?

If you were to tell me that you were a cow, would I have the right to say you weren't?

If you didn't act like a Christian or habitually did things that Christians shouldn't be doing, like, in the case of Bush, lie like th edevil, would I have the right and the duty to determine for myself if you were indeed a Christian?
