A few days ago I was at a 7/11 getting some coffee. There was some older white guy in front of me at the checkout. He was talking to the girl working there about the road work going on outside. I said something like "It wont be done anytime soon you know". This guy says to me "mabey if we got some white people out there working on it then it would get done faster". I almost laughed in this idiots face. WHITE PEOPLE digging holes in the hot Florida sun? Ya thats gonna happen. Most white people dont like labor intensive jobs nowadays they would rather collect unimployment.

Remember the gang of tea baggers standing around the guy in the wheelchair who supported healthcare? The baggers were mocking him and making fun of his condition. That says it all. Where's the socialism that doesn't already exist in our highways, water works, Police and Fire Departments, or the healthcare provided to Congress--for life, in or out of office--or for all the medicare recipients? I would really like a clear headed explanation of why one is acceptable and the other is socialism.

You want to get rid of Socialism in America, start with the Farm subsidies to Corporate Agriculture, or how about the subsidies to oil companies making record profits.

I have family who are members of that party. I talk to them all of the time about it. I know well what they care about.... I've got mine, screw everybody else.

It is not the unions ruining the corporations in the US. It is the corporate executives, their excessive compensation packages and bad decisions.

It is my hope that the torch has been passed. There's a younger generation coming up, about to take over, and they have another take on it. They will have to pay for it.

To hear them talk, what little I've heard, they're taking a very practicle view of how to deal with the situation. And that doesn't include putting their parents, aunts uncles and cousins on an ice flow (if there are any left) and letting them go.

I'm sure there are some, hopefully only a minority. But the slovenly, feed-the-rich-so-the-poor-will-rise crap that gained ground with Reagan may be on the way out with them.

Generally, healthcare coverage stops when you leave your job -- when it goes on for life, while you do nothing in return, that's socialism. Why is that a good thing when it's for elected officials?
