Yes Shunpike
As it happend Boon Mee it was you lot who ran out of money first, sparking off a global financial cricis, even though you have had a licence to print money to keep up a lifestyle you didn't deserve.
you lot have like real socialists welfare clients sucked on our productivity for years selling us your worthless bonds and subprimes before your house of cards came down, and all your Genuine Patriot US capitalistshurried to secure the billions they had robbed from the US population.
Where I come from everybody still have food on the table and a roof over their heads + social security and education helthcare ect., we are certainly not worse of than your Country.
Sure my Government have had to tighten the belt a bit because of the financial crisis you lot exported to us by allowing your crooks in wall street to roam free and robbing you blind, but that is the extend of it, we have not had to throw people on the streets in the hundred thousands.
We don't have a President humiliated by the crooks in wall street, that tours the whole world with the same speech, getting buttbuggered by old enemies while he is mumbling the line- Sorry sorry, please don't ask for your money back cause we don't have it, from the now well worn talking paper.
In Europe we don't want the style of freedom you want to export, but then again that is not surprising we have had many hundred years more of culture and practice.
Even in the uneducated third world countries they don't want your society solutions, you have to ram it down with bunker-busters, and all those people are supposed to be dumb as doornails according to your rightwing nutters over there.
So you just carry on enjoying your special brand of capitalism Boon Mee, hope you have enough Vaseline for all the Banks and Insurance guys lining up to ram you from behind.

Apples / Oranges there lav. Your country (I'm betting its some northern european one) does not share a border with Mexico. You must be daft if you rationalize that one who works all their life willingly pays for health and 'human services' to folks that 1. are illegal & 2. sit around collecting food stamps etc.![]()

Sorry for your loss.
But, thank you for the big laugh. Canada (ie, me, the taxpayer) paid $$$ for her care and also covers basic burial costs. $5k ain't gonna get much extra in terms of funeral service, never mind a plot. Cremation is only about $600 (plus tax, of course). I hope she paid her taxes, coz her parents or husband will have to cover that along with all the probate fees.
The US does not want to become a nanny state like Canada, where the govt treats us like children and decides where to spend OUR money.

You should not pay for illegal immigrants that i give you, but that should not stop you from taking proper care off your own.
Once you add your private health care insurance, kindergarten, child dental-care, the costs of your kids going to college ect. on top of your taxes it gets just crazy, still your Government is running with a deficit without even providing what in other places is considered basic necessities in a developed society. don't get me wrong we need America, but we do not need to import your mistakes.

If the free market was allowed to flourish, the unions and their $100,000 jobs to public sector employees and similar pension benefits were cut, and govts quit their stupid entitlements to losers, folks would be better off. You come from a country with a smaller pop where oil buttresses your economy, right, Larv? Still, I would not want to live there and have my nanny distribute my wealth.

Rubbish Jettie you would absolutely love to live in Denmarkgood beer and nice food, clean streets and happy beautiful people (when it is not to cold).
True with the Oil but the same can be said about the US no.
And we do have exactly the same free market as the US, it's just that we have learned that the Private sector can not be trusted to provide all kinds of services, the demand for profit makes it not only to expensive, but profit also comes before the costumers, and for some services provided via the state where i come from, the costumer comes first, and with no profit margins to push up the price.
The free market have failed on key areas, as the present economic crisis have thought us, big finance have only one friend, and that is not enough if we are going to provide their basis for doing business, then they also have to show responsibility towards society, and not cheat and swindle at such a big scale that it almost have brought several Country's to their knees.
It is after all the little people like you and me that end's up footing the bill.

Some noted publication - do not recall which one - did a "Happiness Survey" a little while ago and lo & behold, Denmark came out as #1. Folks who live there as less miserable than any place surveyed.
Vi vil gerne betale én procent mere i skat og ha' velfærdssamfundet tilbage
This is the name of a new danish org. You can join on Facebook.
The name translates to: We would like to pay 1 percent more in taxes, and get the Wellfare Sociaty back.
Denmark most give you the shivers, BM
Well, we are different countries, and thats the charm of it.

I like the beer, kinda. So, erm, how many people are real Danes and how many are immigrants?
Oil? US cos are big, but mostly offshore.
Private sector cannot be trusted? You mean we can trust the public sector and its union thugs? We could fight about that. The public sector doesn't produce anything except the spending of tax dollars.
FFS, Boonie, the Danes get extra time off for beer festivals and snow days. Of course they vote "happy".Except for all the ones who commit suicide every winter...or is that Sweden?
