The problem is the Clinton administration and Democrats today feel that terrrorism should be treated as a criminal offense which means they have full rights and protection and we need conrete evidence, warrants and trials for these guys.

I agree hit squads and human intelligence which means we have to do away with the bs that we cannot conduct business with bad people. We need to sweep away Jimmy Carter's intelligence policies. We need natives on our payroll so the terrorists are paranoid and cannot trust each other so they kill each other out of suspicion. We need to rot them from the inside out.

Sadly, SK, they have most of the world's oil and represent some of the richest people in the world. The Sultan of Brunei is the richest man in the world and a muslim. The poorest and most 'bassackwards' countries tend to be found in Africa. I thought you were generally more careful with your words.
The truth is out there, but then I'm stuck in here.

You're right. But I think you know what I mean though, right ? They may be rich but they're still bassackwards. They still don't know how to get the damn oil out of the ground without the help of the British. And they still are dependent on the rest of the wolrd for the refinery process. Right or wrong ?

Are you sure the Sultan is the richest man in the world ? I thought the Top 5 richest people in the world were mostly British, American and Japanese people?

That's exactly my point of view and a summary of what I said.

Says much then, that they who have, as you say, most of the world's oil and represent some of the richest people in the world, keep their people not only repressed in poverty and ignorance, but also handcuffed to forms of zealotry that threaten the entire civilised world.

No dispute there, though I think most of us know there are deeper motivations involved.

Forbes is one source and use a certain methodology. They are richer people than Bill Gates but they don't advertise it on Forbes issue of top millionaires in the world.

More Muslims Arrive in U.S., After 9/11 Dip

“America has always been the promised land for Muslims and non-Muslims,” said Behzad Yaghmaian, an Iranian exile and author of “Embracing the Infidel: Stories of Muslim Migrants on the Journey West.” “Despite Muslims’ opposition to America’s foreign policy, they still come here because the United States offers what they’re missing at home.”

Nothing would destroy them quicker than being destroyed from the inside because lack of trust would prevent the groups from growing as members got killed. 500 or 1000 John Clarks would put shivers up the spines of every terrorist in the world (see if you know who I am referring to ).

Fight fire with fire. No country in the world would have opposed such an idea.

Now that the insurgents have bogged us down it simply makes it easier for more to come along and bog us down even more. They know the public has no appetite for high casualty rates. That's why using the general military was a major blunder. We just assumed it would be a cakewalk. The problem is that if the general population doesn't want democracy it becomes a waste of time, resources, and money.

Can you imagine how much better off we'd be security-wise if we'd invested the $400 billion being spent on Iraq to improve border security, airline baggage checking, etc?
good post surasak---and some of it is very true

the only problem is that assassination of wold leaders is against the Geneva convention and the u.n. and the rest of the world would never approve of it

I haven't, which I'm quite certain means you've discovered a Muslim enclave on the planet, owned by a real rich oil guy, where the 372,361 people are not kept in abject poverty and ignorance. Bravo!

He shares responsibility yes. Carter decided we could gain all the intelligence we needed from satelites and eavesdropping. He dismantled our human intelligence program and made it illegal to do business with the kind of people who are connected to the underground pipleine of nefarious doings and undeclared cash movements.

and there isn't even a memorial for those who died in the WTC.
You're still trolling this? Come on ray if you care for the bereaved (your word not mine) than say what you are doing about it other than pounding away on a keyboard. Say something like, "I'm emoting outrage".

It would be preferable to assassinate a world leader versus invading and occupying a country for no good cause. Neither one really is the characteristic of a nation with high moral standards. I thought we were better than that.

Back on topic, I wasn't referring to knocking off certain leaders. I was referrring to knocking off terrorists one by one by one....

That's a pity. Someone putting a bullet where GWB's brain supposedly is, would be the best event I could think of (except for Mum winning 20m quid on the lottery).
