Why does it seem to be a Muslim Problem.

I am watching the CNN and Aljazeera news and why is it in Iraq and Pakistan, both Muslim majority countrys, and 5 car bombs in Baghdad and 2 in Pakistan that have killed a lot of Muslims, over 100 dead and 200 wounded and 12 in pakistan dead.
    And thousands demonstrating in Iran.
Why does this only seem to be in Muslim majority countrys and not in Christian majority countrys.
Altho the Muslims did seem to want that to happen in England as there a couple years ago they did bomb the underground and public transport, but the police were very promptly on it and arrested the evil doers.
And also over 3000 killed in the USA in New York when the WTC was hit with airplanes, but the perps were also Muslims.
Why does this seem to be mostly one religion and christians do not seem to be to much into doing this to mainly kill other christians.

I do not believe in any religion so it is impossible for me to see what the reasons be to kill your own people with bombs when it will mean high numbers of your own countrymen and of the same religion as you, but people who you do not know personally.

Christians don't exactly have a great history, but thankfully we have in the main moved on, i put this down to people finally seeing the light and realising that religion is a load of bollox and have no need for it in their lives, it was just a way to control the masses in days gone by. But sadly large number of muslims are still easily manipulated by their 'leaders' and religion therefore plays a large significant role in their lives.

The intolerance of Islam, specifically the intolerances that have evolved as a result of the teachings of Mohamed.
Theres a lot of reasons to chose from.

Women are deficient in mind and religion.

    • Mohammed asked some women, "Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half that of a man?" The women said, "yes," He said, "This is because of the deficiency of the woman's mind. " Vol. 3:826
    • Mohammed to women: "I have not seen any one more deficient in intelligence and religion than you." Vol. 2:541
The majority of people in hell are women.
    • Mohammed said, "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers are women. " Vol. 1:28, 301; Vol. 2:161; Vol. 7:124
    Women are a bad omen.
    • Mohammed said, " Bad omen is in the woman, the house and the horse." Vol. 7:30
    Women are harmful to men.
    • Mohammed said, "After me I have not left any affliction more harmful to men than women." Vol. 7:33

Obviously none of you were in the UK during the 1970's and 1980's. Indiscriminate bombings, murder and torture by two Christian factions.

Undoubtedly talking about the Micks, but part of that had to do with the Brits ruling them too didn't it?.
I was never sure what was really going on there as it did not concern me, which this Muslim thing does more or less because they have taken it worldwide.

Iraq, Iran and Pakistan pretty much internal, too.

IRA wasn't internal. There were two countries affected.

I have no problem with the Mussies blowing each other up, the more the merrier'
Can't we just pull out of all of these countries so they can do it more.
Perhaps we can give them free explosives to get the party going.

Reread the OP. The issue is muslims and terrorism. Not about whether terrorism is exported, or, not.

True, but it only seems to happen in muslim majority countrys, not in Christian countrys until Ireland was brought up, and I always thought that it was between them and the English governing them, but like I said, It never bothered or endangered me so I never paid much attention to it.
But I will agree that we should get away from them and leave them alone and let them do as they have been doing to each other since the beginnings of recorded history, which is skillfuly killing each other.
And I see nothing wrong with furnishing some extra explosives as long as they are for their own domestic use.

Trying to apply logic and reasoning to the irrational is a fruitless task I'm afraid.

Religion by its very nature is about belief/faith. Belief/faith has no basis in reality. It is in the mind of the believer only.

It is nigh on impossible to argue with someone of faith. How can you? They already believe in something for which no evidence exists. How can you change such a persons mind?

The answer is you can't. You may as well argue with a schizophrenic the voices they hear aren't real. It is their reality, just as those of faith believe there's some non-corporeal power responsible for the creation and maintenance of this universe. Dopamine in excess causes schizophrenia. There's strong evidence to suggest religious folks have more dopamine flowing in their brains than non-religious types. They are more suggestible.....

Why Islam? Because Islam relies upon ignorance. Most religions do. It is also a refuge for those who seek power and control. Most religions are. They're also good money making schemes. So you have those of vested interests, seeking money, power and control effectively exploiting the ignorance of others for personal gain, all wrapped up in a nice sounding story. Islam has been very successful in spreading amongst third world countries..there's a reason for that.

Religion is just a cover story at the end of it all. People made these religions, they wrote the books, they make the (ever changing) rules, they give the orders. No god is involved in any of it. Religion is the cover story for human failings/deficiencies/dysfunction.

I could rant on, expand upon above points etc etc but I think this best sums it up...

"Religion is the opiate of the people"
"Slavery is the daughter of darkness; an ignorant people is the blind instrument of its own destruction; ambition and intrigue take advantage of the credulity and inexperience of men who have no political, economic or civil knowledge. They mistake pure illusion for reality, license for freedom, treason for patriotism, vengeance for justice."-Simón Bolívar

Since the so called Age of Enlightenment, Christian countries have basically been secular, and violence between countries or civil violence has been politically motivated, rather than religious.

But go before this- the Inquisition, Crusades, the various religious wars in Europe- then it's a good thing military technology was fairly primitive at the time.

But there has been plenty of violence since- WW1, WW2, the American civil war, Spanish civil war, Stalins pogroms and so on. Even more recently, in Vietnam & IndoChina, Korea, and Iraq our military actions still eclipse the numbers killed by the ongoing conflicts in Moslem countries.

The hotspots in the Moslem world now are-
Iraq- Invaded and occupied by foreign forces, also sectarian violence- Sunni vs Shiite. We really fucked up in Iraq, which used to have the highest standard of living in the Arab world.
Pakistan- It's complex, but a lot of the violence is religious fundamental Moslems from the northern tribal regions vs. the government. Both political and religious.
Afghanistan- squabbling tribes has always been their history, but the foreign involvement is to try and defeat the Fundamentalist Taliban, which is currently the strongest faction. Thus far, we are losing.
Somalia- another dysfunctional country, like Ghan. The rest of the world has basically left them to it, which is why we don't read about it much any more.

To call it just 'Religious' or 'Moslem' violence is somewhat oversimplifying.
There are Fundamentalist vs secular conflicts
There are Sectarian conflicts- Sunni/ Shiite
There are ethnic conflicts- Kurdish, Pashtun etc
There are Resistance conflicts- Taliban, Iraqi resistance etc.
there is politically motivated conflict too.

The biggest struggle in the Moslem world now is between political Sectarianism and religious Fundamentalism.

Look, whatever it's about is complicated, agreed. Can't we just let them kill each other then wade in later and kill what's left. Cheaper.

I personally think DogCatcher has it right, supply both sides with short range weapons of mass destruction and let them kill each other, then when they are down to the last man, make sure he dies of the shits or just shoot him.

Nope- thats dumb. Let 'em use scimitars.

One other thing- isn't it time we grew up, started thinking for ourselves, and stopped being Israeli/ Zionist stooges. We're only screwing things up. It's totally bloody idiotic on our part, and totally shortsighted on theirs. At least Obama's got the right idea- but whether he can get much done remains to be seen.

Quite correct. But I think you are wasting your time on this lot here as they would much prefer to hear the "lets bomb the shit out of them Muzzies" type of reply.

The American Civil war was pretty nasty. Over half a million dead. Wasn't that long ago in historical terms either. Good Christians with God on their side fighting each other for political reasons. And of course there was that couple of little things called WW1 and WW2 where the Christians tried to annihilate each other. All very civilized.

^More recently we also had the leader of the most powerful country on earth saying that God spoke to him and therefore presumably agreed with his actions in attacking two other countries and starting seemingly interminable conflicts.

World Muslim population is about 1.8 billion. It's going to take some well planned solutions to finally rid the world of the Muslim threat. Even if we let the hot spot nations mentioned by Sabang kill each other off, it only reduces the number of Muslims by about 280 million. We gotta go for bigger numbers if we are to succeed.

I say invade these nations if we really want to put a dent in the 1.8 billion. Turkey, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, and China. Another 820 million bite the dust. Now we only have to figure out how to eliminate the 700 million or so left in the rest of the nations.
