They may be wrong but seems folks don't much care. Still way ahead in ratings compared to other cable news outlets.

Jon Stewarts Daily Show' absolutely annihalates Fox in the ratings. But that's a comedy.![]()
He annihilates their hypocrisy pretty good as well.Originally Posted by sabang

They are in trouble, and they well know it. MSNBC has become it's nemesis- their numbers improve as Fox drops, and MSNBC smashes Fox in the prime demographic ages for the advertising industry, which pays for most of this circus. During the primetime viewing hours, which is generally not a factor in the medicare market, MSNBC similarly has a strong showing. You could summarise it by saying that, from a demographic perspective, MSNBC has the market that matters the most, and the Trend is strongly in it's favor.
CNN is shrinking too, but not as rapidly as Fox.

News Corpse » Ratings:
Jon Stewart? As of the end of 2011, the Daily Show had more viewers than any Fox program except O'Reilly. Since then, The Daily Show has continued to rise in the ratings, while O'Reilly and Fox have dropped. Not malarkey socal- a Fox satirist is caning Fox in the ratings. Says a lot about the modern world.
Jon Stewart Drawing More Viewers Than Fox News Channel
I've noticed that Fox seem to have toned it down, I think perhaps they realise that people are starting to turn against the selfish right wing.
It's just a bunch of bints talking bollocks about Obama.
Sadly Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, and Dick Morris have moved on to greener pastures. The Donald is rarely heard from these days, and several other colorful characters appear to be catering to more specialised markets, such as two bit blogs & teabag rallies. The good thing about rentacommentators being paid to spread lies is that they are dispensable at the drop of a hat- just look at the rentagenerals (employed by lobbyists) spreading feriliser in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq. There's not much new under the sun.
It rather looks that Fox has had it's day in the sun, but you never know- it may reinvent itself as a comedy channel.
You are one lowbrow senior citizen. Fyi, If I have spent even two hours watching Fox in the last year, it would surprise me. I don't get Fox at home, don't watch much TV at all, the last time I saw it was in a hotel- Fox and Friends or something, watched it for about ten minutes. Confirmed my prejudice.
So how can I be so 'extremely well informed'? Reading, thats how. The internet, thats how. Google, thats how. Try it sometime. GIYF.
Can anyone tell me why this shit network is the only American news channel on Thai cable TV?

Justin Bieber is popular, does that mean he's good?Originally Posted by socal
Possible. I suspect it could be similar in Islamic countries, Foxnews only. What do they learn watching Foxnews? That Americans are habitual liars, and mad dogs throughout? It's an excellent cultural ambassador.
Inconveniently, Qatar has Al Jazeera- which knocks the living shit out of Faux and other lazy news organisations that just plug a mantra, and have virtually no actual reporting on the ground- they just cherry pick from agencies such as Reuters and AFP. Such things tell informed observers quite a lot about the real trends that are extant in the modern world.
They do not favor Fox, and what it stands for.
However the problem with the internet you are faced with the same media sources you don't watch on TV and outside that the gems of truth of are drowned in the chorus of insane ravings and utter bollocks that makes up much commentary outside these organisations.
lets be honest using google would lead you to suspect that the likes of hansuman were representative of mainstream americans... whilst the reality is that most of them are significantly more normal.
Personally I am quite demonstrably well researched books written by the investigative journalists that seem to no longer exist on mean stream media and people who have some knowledge and expertise in what they are writing out. The downside being these books take years to research and write so its hardly real time.
Taking a break from bashing Fox News we see Video: CNN panel names Romney a religious fanatic for promoting … children.
That's how far into the fever swamps these Lefties have gone. But then again, it might be where CNN is trying to show the folks who are having 'Buyer's Remorse' electing Bath House Barry to a 2nd term that Romney is a bad man!![]()
A Deplorable Bitter Clinger
Sadly you are right. The objectivity and neutrality of jazzeera evaporates when the interests of the Qatari sheiks are involved. Note for example it's coverage of Syria- highly biased towards the rebels. Coincidentally, Qatar and Saudi are the biggest rebel funders and suppliers.Originally Posted by harrybarracuda
But on average, I find their coverage and comment better than auntie beeb these days.

True Visions doesn't carry Al Jazerra or I'd watch it.
